History of Devissa

Devissa was started in 2004. by Mr. Norbert Schmitz, a man with a vision and knowledge to start small investing business and Mr. Matthew P. Mackenzie , back than professional stock market and currency market analytic. The two previously cooperated when
Mr. Schmitz worked for business magazine in Switzerland "Bilanz" until 2003. and was getting complete analysis of stock markets and currency markets from Mr. Mackenzie. In 2004. they arranged a business meeting in Sydney, Australia and they concluded forming business, offering money management to customers in Switzerland and Australia over the mediators and later in 2005. over the foreign agents in Germany and Singapore, than Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and New Zealand.

In 2006. the business was further expanded in Russia and Malaysia. The foreign agents collected funds in abovementioned countries which were than sent by banks to Mr. Schmitz's personal account and was than further processed to hired traders which held daily consultations with Mr. Mackenzie. This was done due to different regulations by some countries which made it almost impossible for their citizens to transfer and enrich their funds on global markets. Although we had over 3000 investors which minimally invested no less than 7500 CHF it was essential to hire more people to manage the money,
so Mr. Schmitz hired 4 people in Germany and Switzerland and Mr. Mackenzie hired 3 more in Australia to work with him. Devissa established more cooperation in term of trading with most regulated brokerage firms such as dbFx and Saxo bank, while previously we traded with Alpari UK on currency markets but later changed to Alpari US.

In 2007. we started working with GFI UK for trading on equities but soon it became more than necessary to hire more professionals to trade and analyze. By the end of 2007. and beginning of 2008. Devissa team consisted of 4 professional analytics and 7 traders. The team worked separately from two non for public opened offices in Sydney, Australia and Graz, Austria. This was due to be tax exempted and to maximize earnings for our clients and us. Base of operations was moved to Graz, Austria to have it easier for our Eastern European agents to attend seminars and also very liberal Austrian banking system. All of Devissa employees were officially hired as a personal assistants of Mr. Schmitz and same was done with staff that worked with Mr. Mackenzie in Sydney. By summer 2008. thanks to professionalism of our team, Devissa made unprecedented profits by trading energy; refined and crude oil when prices hit historical ceiling and in winter where we again profited by trading with natural gas during the European natural gas crisis with Ukraine. Further business development went in a way of enlarging our total volumes for trading by finding new clients and establishing good funds management system by the beginning of 2009.

In the beginning of 2009. Devissa team faced some serious losses in equities sector due to collapse of world most important banks and corporations but most losses were neutralized in 3rd quarter by buying stocks of pharmaceutical companies which by the end of 2009. showed as an excellent choice. In 2009. Devissa Team also started to trade sovereign and corporate Eurobonds and Islamic bonds.
We expanded further on trading energy and commodities.
In October 2009. on a general meeting in Graz, Devissa team concluded three general ideas for further development of Devissa:
1. Hire a lawyers to find best solution for registering Devissa offshore limited in best possible authority which will still provide us with tax exemption and protection of privacy for our international clients and therefore completely legalize our business.
2. Introduce Devissa online for further business development and offer our services to clients in the whole world as to also provide our old clients with online access to their portfolios.
3. Register Devissa company limited offshore by as far as March 2010.

In December 2009. website was completed and fully operational. It was ready to accept new clients as to serve old ones. Contracts with our lawyers are singed and applications are being filed up for the start locating best possible solution for registration.

- Equities 26.5% (12.2% US Institutional , 8.6% European and 5.7% Asian)
- Energy and Commodities 21% (2% coal, 3.9% freight, 6,3% natural gas, 8.8% refined and crude oil)
- Credit 15.5% (Eurobonds 12.7% , Islamic (Sukuk) bonds 2.8%)
