Wow, it's Aug. 12th 7:22 a.m. and still can't access the site. Guess I'll check their blog and see if they have anything new to say.
Checked the blog & it looks like people from all over the world are having the same problem. I'm sure their techies are on it.

It is down for me for over 24 hours. Why curse STP? Just wait. Nothing you can do about it. Go outside.

Split your money with other PP's I have mine with Alertpay and Strictpay, so when this sort of thing happens you can still make money.

Real good advice there Proinfo.

Shows how much we depend on the payment processors, as everything just get backed up so bad when one goes haywire...

Go to solidtrustnews.com for officail update.

Here is what I found on that site. Posted aug 12 aprox. 10pm pacific time

On August 11th Black Lotus received complaints of service degredation to the web site http://www.solidtrustpay.com that were not detected by the network sensors. It was initially thought that the server was offline for unexplained reasons. After connecting a KVM and checking traffic on the server locally it was revealed that there was a very small attack that was somehow causing service daemons to stop responding. Black Lotus management later determined that the source IP’s were spoofed in such a way that the routers could not detect the spoof, a method never before seen.

On August 12th at 1:41AM Pacific, Black Lotus Leadership Team had manually filtered the attack and brought the site back online although with significant performance detriment. During the course of the early morning the attack shifted into a very large infrasturcture attack against Black Lotus and upstream provider Peer1 Network prompting them to null route the IP address. From there packet levels reached and began fluctuating at levels of approximately 1,500,000 to 2,500,000 packets per second. The Black Lotus Enterprise network is rated for a total capacity of approximately 2,000,000 packets per second.

Black Lotus then ordered the site placed into global distribution mode at 6:29AM Pacific in order to facilitate the larger packet loads. Peer1 accepted the order but ultimately failed to route the traffic back to Black Lotus citing concerns that 2,000,000+ packets was above a level they could safely handle. Throughout the course of the day Leadership Team began ordering conference calls with the upstream NOC to negotiate lifting of the null routes.

By evening the routing issue was in the hands of Leadership Team and upstream engineers who were conducting manual, deep level analysis of the traffic to determine what methods could be implemented to reduce the flow of traffic to a more manageable level.

Time to full resolution is currently undetermined.

We have been receiving reports that some members are unable to access the SolidTrust Pay website. There are no issues with access at our offices, and we are continuing to monitor regular traffic, but our tech department is looking into the situation.

The site is back up after the DDOS attack. According to their updates, no data has been compromised and everything is fine. If you are waiting for a withdrawal, check with support if you have not received it to be sure it was recorded prior to the down time.

Blessings,
Winki

Hi Winki
It may have been up for awhile but it's down now (4:35 p.m. EST Aug. 13th). Do you hate hackers as much as I do?

Yeah, I got the opening page pretty fast but then tried to log in and waited 10 minutes and the login page still hadn't opened. At least it looks like they are making progress. Like you, I'll try again in the morning. Hope 50 million other people don't have the same idea though. Good Luck!

It's 9:30 pm EST and I thought I'd give it one last try before turning in for the night and lo and behold, it worked. The login page took a while to load but I got in and completed my transaction. Way to go Stella & crew!

Access tip for Firefox users
Posted in August 13, 2009 ¬ 7:18 pmh.adminComments (9)
We are continuing to work with our host to resolve the access issues.

Strict filtering is in place now – and this is affecting performance. This same filtering is also ensuring that as many people as possible do have access while eliminating unauthorized traffic.

If you use Firefox the following may assist:

1) Type into a new URL bar these exact words: about:config
2) Click OK on the warning that will pop up
3) Scroll down to: network.http.max-connections-per-server, click on it and change the allowed connections from whatever shows to 2

Choosing this option tells FireFox to load one object at a time and will ensure that your connection gets through the firewall without being confused for a bot.

The above fix has been shown to be successful and we hope it is for you too.

I was able to access STP today finally!

This did not work for me and I still cannot access my STP account. Now should I restart my computer after I put the digit to 2? Or when will I finally access my account?
