I make basic web pages using the free Netscape Composer (hold your laughs please)
I try to insert google tags into my html code so I can track my adwords campaigns but for some reason they never show up on the published pages and of course dont work.
Here is an example:

If you "view the source code" you will see that the code is there but nothing shows up on the page?
I also have the same problem trying to install Google banners on my sites. Nothing shows up?
I wonder if I cant properly make these pages using netscape? or perhaps my web hosting account does not run jave script? I am really lost ???
Thanks!

Well the google people told me I would only be able to see it if I actually clicked on the adword ad and followed through to end page.
I will have to test it out this week to see if they are right or not. I have just always had bad luck installing their ads and scripts on my pages......

Just as a follow up. For some reason, Netscape composer does not properly upload the code for the google adsense banners.
I have to copy and paste my website into Notepad, then copy in the google code, then save it as html then upload to my server.
What a pain! Are their any other FREE html editors out there?

Try WebDwarf from http://www.virtualmechanics.com
I've heard good things about it and it's all free. I use Dreamweaver myself, but also Notepad at times when it calls for getting around a glitch or odd happening. By accident, Notepad is one of the best things Microsoft ever put in Windoze

If you are real desperate you can download a free 30 day trial of dreamweaver. Or you could go to www.crimsoneditor.com That is a good editor and is very simple and best of all free!
Netscape and Firefox always have some issues with java script. For the most part Internet Explorer does not.....sometimes
