Is it safe to send a copy of your creditcard

I am a member of a lot of bookies including bets4all.

I have read somewhere here in forum that Bets4all not is so very reliable, hard to get payout etc...

So I decided to request a full payout yesterday and today I recieved an email saying that since this is my first payout I need to fax them a copy of passport and booth sides of my creditcard.

This is the first bookie asking me for that and I know it might be for security reasons but I am not sure if it is safe to give out a copy of booth sides of credit card, maybe a dishonest person gets it if you know what I mean

Anyone have any experience about this ?
