My e-gold account just gor hacked !!
I can't beleive it! I already phone admin of e-gold! And they can't do anything about it... This is ridiculuos!!!  Admin of e-gold only give me IP address of the person who hacked me.... I've lost almost $5000 of my money in 2 of my account in E-GolD!!!! What am i supposed to do???? I have IP address of the person.... I don't know how to explain this to andy and my partner here in Malaysia.... i have a deal with him ...hmm... andy and Yasir... sorry for what had happen....

e-gold is not a secure payment processor no matter what anyone else says. People's accounts get hacked almost on a daily basis. This is why I stay away from e-gold.

arai, today was supposed to be the pay day but this turned out on u, i dun know what to say... anyway, ur EG was hacked b4, i wonder why u still keep so much EG there? why today? make me wonder... i personally hav 3 EG a/c and none of them got hacked b4, even if they did, they must be expert to hack into my variable anomynous proxied ip and deserved to keep my $5 in my EG as a talent hacking prize.

Since eGold imlemented the pin number i have never heard of anyone losing funds to hackers if their account was set to high level of security.weird.
With that kind of amount in i would have split it and have multiply accounts with diferent passwords and contact email addresses with different id's for each.. not to mention other protective tools...i find it very odd.
I also use 1MDC but can anyone tell me what is the difference between medium and high security setting in egold account?

Well, I know who it is, but what can I do about it  I guess the trojan I had on my comp cost me 1k then

I don't believe e-gold would actually have their mailing bots set to use yahoo addresses. I've also set up bolds for very suspect data you need to send - I mean why on earth would an e-gold autobot need the password to your email account (oh yea - to retrieve a PIN eh)? They also only want info from people with money on their e-gold to boot too. I mean, if it's just confusing a mail bot why would money on account be needed? You'd have to be pretty gullible to fall for this. Would be hackers would then be hacked. Would serve them right, too.
Lol, that surely is the sure method of hacking e-gold account. Once you send the mail with that info to that email addy, surely your e-gold account will get hacked. So what is posted there is true, THIS IS the sure way to hack e-gold accounts.
 I've seen something like that before but with yahoo email accounts..Of course it doesn't work, it's obviously just a deceptive method to obtain passwords...

Everyone should be careful to not save passwords in your email accounts. Print the password and delete the email to be safe.

Wow... $5,000 e-gold lost!
Anyway its not e-Gold's fault, since not all who keep large amounts got hacked. I guess you probably clicked on a bad link somewhere or email got compromised, or you use same password or access via public PCs before. |
