I'm glad they foiled it.

Good to see everyone stepped up the fight because here in the US things have gotten better but they have slipped since 9/11. (Since not convinced it was only terrorists involved anyway).

The minute people start living in fear is the minute they win.

The british are to be blamed for terrorist, invading other people country have negative feedback.

Glad they foiled the plot. It is unfortunate though that these terrorists have to screw up innocent peoples lives and plans just to make themselves look important.

The next time you pass through an airport and have to show your photo ID to establish who you are and then must remove your shoes, take off your belt, empty your pockets, prove your laptop is not an explosive device and send your luggage through a machine to determine whether it holds weapons, think about this: Every single day, more than 10,000 illegal aliens cross our United States border. No searches for weapons. No shoe removal. No photo-ID checks. They will then obtain phony identification papers, including false Social Security numbers, to conceal their true identities and hide their unlawful presence.

Who are these new arrivals? While the big majority are Mexicans, a small but growing number come from other countries, including those with large populations hostile to the U.S.

The U.S.'s borders, since 9/11, have become more open than ever.

Fact: More than 75,000 non-Mexicans, including nationals of every terrorist sponsoring country, were caught crossing illegally into the U.S. across our land borders in 2004. Yet the borders remain wide open.


Fact: Billions of American taxpayer dollars are being spent for Homeland Security, and all the remaining Constitutional rights of Americans are being taken away in the "War against Terrorism". Yet the borders remain wide open.


Fact:Americans are being propagandized to live in fear while more and more of their freedoms are taken away and their attention is being diverted so that more and more tax dollars are being stolen from them right before their very eyes for the "War On Terror". Yet the borders remain wide open.

Fact: Americans are being asked to spy on each other because there are "terrorists" supposedly everywhere in the U.S. Yet the borders remain wide open.


Fact: President Bush has vowed he has no intention of stopping his personal authorizations of a post-Sept. 11 secret eavesdropping program in the US, that is used to spy on American citizens. President Bush is quoted as saying: "This authorization is a vital tool in our war against the terrorists. It is critical to saving American lives". Yet the borders remain wide open.


And don't forget those infamous words from President Bush after the 9/11 attacks?? - "Make no mistake, the United States will hunt down and punish those responsible for these cowardly attacks." "We have taken all appropriate security precautions to protect the American people". Yet the borders remain wide open.


Make sense?


More and more people are waking up to their lies and deceit..and they know it!!

The propaganda is going to get much worse...mark my words!!

The president turns a new phrase to describe the 'war on terrorism'

News from London Thursday morning that British intelligence agents had foiled a potential new terrorist plot in its advanced stages prompted the highest level security alert in the United States since 9/11, and brought trans-Atlantic travel to its knees.

It was a “stark reminder,” President Bush said in his first public reaction to the events, that “this nation is at war with Islamic fascists,” seeking to destroy freedom-loving societies.

At this dramatic moment, it was not “war with terrorism,” as the president characterized events shortly after the Sept. 11 attacks, or a “war on terror," as he has referred to it more commonly over time.

Former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan Craig Murray says the alleged transatlantic liquid bomb plot is staged-managed propaganda on behalf of Bush and Blair - who yearn for a "new 9/11" to absolve them of domestic political trouble.

Murray questions the intent and capability of the alleged terrorists to carry out the attack and offers the likelihood that evidence of the plot was obtained through torture in Pakistan.

"None of the alleged terrorists had made a bomb. None had bought a plane ticket. Many did not even have passports, which given the efficiency of the UK Passport Agency would mean they couldn't be a plane bomber for quite some time," says Murray.

"In the absence of bombs and airline tickets, and in many cases passports, it could be pretty difficult to convince a jury beyond reasonable doubt that individuals intended to go through with suicide bombings, whatever rash stuff they may have bragged in internet chat rooms."

"Then an interrogation in Pakistan revealed the details of this amazing plot to blow up multiple planes - which, rather extraordinarily, had not turned up in a year of surveillance. Of course, the interrogators of the Pakistani dictator have their ways of making people sing like canaries. As I witnessed in Uzbekistan, you can get the most extraordinary information this way. Trouble is it always tends to give the interrogators all they might want, and more, in a desperate effort to stop or avert torture. What it doesn't give is the truth."

Murray describes the alert as "more propaganda than plot," and points out that of all the Muslim terror suspects who have been charged, 80% have been acquitted and only 2% have ever been convicted on offenses related to terrorism.

To all the people who think that this terrorist thing is complete bull cr*p, try working in London and hearing a bus being blown up 2 roads up from you and then waiting for 4 hours worrying because your friend and work colleague has not turned up. Luckily she was ok but people should think about what they are saying before thay say it.

I don't think anyone is doubtintg it happens. The doubt is that it's who the governments are saying it is. Sometimes it's done to take the heat off a leader when he isn't doing his job up to standards, etc.

Fair point MH - and my workmate who I was worrying about is of the Muslim faith so the terror hits everyone regardless of their faith or otherwise.

Having re-read your post, I can see where you are coming from. sorry that I was a bit terse but when you live in London you get that sort of thing a lot. It is nothing new - it used to be the IRA then it was some anti-gay anti-ethnic minority anti-everyone idiot (Brick Lane/Admiral Duncan Bomber). The majority of us do not live in fear of this and go about our normal work but people have to remember the victims in all this, and this includes Muslims that are now being alienated due to ignorance.

I have been watching the 5th anniversary programmes on 9/11 and it is heartbreaking to watch the planes going into the towers.

Nothing stops me enjoying my life though, I still fly on planes and work in Central London, although I hate riding on the Tube but that is because of the pervs rubbing up against you rather than anything else!!
