I feel that there should be a message attached with every banned person. This message may contain the reason for which that person got banned. In this way, we will be cautious about the progs if that person is a paid cheerleader there...It's really hard to find progs with honest admins now a days....This might help us a little.

Well..Just a suggestion....What u all others think about this???

cs.joker

I don't get what you mean......when someone is banned they can't post here anymore.

Hm...I know i don't have good english...Well, I try to explain...

I mean to say that - "If we come to know that why a person is banned(multiple accounts etc.) then we may track the progs where those multiple users were posting together to bump the prog up. In this way, we might know that either those are paid cheerleaders or admin of that prog himself has created multiple accounts."

I guess..I'm clear now.. wink.gif
Viperguy
usually people with multiple accounts get caught, all get banned and the program linked to those accounts gets sent to the scam section.
Hope that helps

It's a pretty good idea smile.gif
Good thinking, but then again, there could be the issue of privacy, etc.
It would help a lot for those who come in and spam the heck outta the place smile.gif.

Just like warning levels, I am hesitant to publish this information as I feel it is somewhat private.

There is another thread on this here. Part of it is privacy issues.

Also, if they're banned then they did something like spam or scam...stay away. Simple rule of thumb smile.gif

Well, spammers I don't think its a big deal..

I think people should know whether they got banned for spaming, regardless..

Scammers

Well I think its obvious if you read a thread in the closed/scam and you see the admin ran away with a good bit of cash that he doesnt belong here anymore

Paid Posters etc

Usually once the thread is moved to closed/scam you can see all the members banned and thats usually the case..

I don't see many other issues, and its not to hard to figure out why...

But in some cases when your just browsing around and you see someone you wouldn't have a clue why they got banned it just makes you wonder...

The information will be very valuable to the members. There is alot of information we can access from a banned member. It can warn us on potential scam admins, cheerleader and other troublemakers.

No privacy issue since they have been banned and cant access MMG anyway. Unlike members who have been warned and are still active.

Think about it, that can be another MMG niche feature.

It is a privacy issue.
Everyone is entitled to privacy and there are laws for that.

And when you see Banned it does tell you who they are...persona non grata.

Cheerleaders and all that get banned if caught.

There is a way to see if someone's been a cheerleader or a scam admin.
It's not as easy as a display..
But look at their post, lol.
Simple as that
