I want to get into MMG deep and spend a lot of time on MMG. I also want to advertise, is it worth the upgrade and paid advertisment? I like this group it's full of experiencrd people and staff. Speaking of staff, how do they get to be a staff member?

You have to buy advertisment slots if you want to advertise. I'm pretty sure you won't ever become a staff member... and upgrading is pretty fun, because you have a higher status

I can't say that's true. Once I became a staff member. It's a though road to the top, but not impossible. And I also know a few members that were mods in the past and now are members like any others.
But don't become a member with the only intention of being a mod someday because you might get frustrated in case you can't make it .

I PM quite a bit, so the extra large box is worth it for me.

I did it to support MMG, and I think the money was well worth it .

If you upgrade your account you get some cool features such as a bigger PM box but it is completely optional

The staff members become staff if the owner Jason (ASFX) of the forum decides he likes them enough
or something like that..

In my case I upgraded because, I feel MMG has done a lot for me, and it was a way to give something back.
