It could help update other countrymen out there. I realized this is a moneymaking forum but wouldn't it be great if we have a thread for other things as well like this one here in the Philippine section.
I see we have a section for world news and events but i'ts just too vast asection for me. I hope other pinoy out there would make some other post here about the Philippine Community. And please no topics about politics unless it's really that interesting.

Congrats nga pala ke Pacman (parang nagboboksing yung smiley) I'm not a big fan of boxing but with all the hype recently I had to watch the fight. I'm a sucker for the underdogs but I still prefer Pacquiao to win. i just wish Larios have given him a better fight like in round 3. Anyway It was a nice fight but they should have fought in an even arena like in the states so it won't be blemish with politics of the nation since I see it's only a fight between two great combatants and not between two nations.

The mexicans showed a great sportmanship spirit specially when Oscar Larios said "Salamat Pilipinas".
That what I call grace in defeat. He accepts the defeat like a man and no excuses.

Anyway I just heard according to the news that Philvocs said that Mt. Mayon is bound to erupt within this week.
The good news is that it won't be that stong like MT. Pinatubo since it has already been pouring out lava in the past years unlike MT. Pinatubo which was dormant for years.

It's just very ironic that the government is all out on spending money for the relief of those OFWs in Lebanon while those in the evacuation center in Mt. Mayon are pack like sardines in their rooms. A lot of them were reported to have been contracting diseases and colds.

I now the government is helping these poor evacuees but if only they exert a lot more effort like they are doing in Lebanon, maybe these evacuees wouldn't have to suffer that much. It's like the saying that you can be dirty inside your own house but once you go outside keep yourself clean. I guess they are more concerned about how the world would perceive the country rather than how the country perceive itself.

The people inthe vicinity of Mt. Mayon live there and they really didn't have a choice while those OFWs in Lebanon had a choice. They knew the risk and took their chances. Besides most OFW wouldn't even bother coming back here once they have established themselves in another country.

I have nothing against OFW in general. Its just that the country should atleast get its priorities straight.

i agree.... the biggest problem of this, our beloved country is that we become a nationalist when we go abroad... those who choose to stick it out here become second rate...
