I have been DEMO on NF for nearly a month,

everything is ok till recently....

Margin 34 416.00
Free Margin -500.00
Margin Level 113.59%


could someone explain to me each of the parameter ?
and, yes i have lots of Negative trades that's why got "negative" free margin


The numbers are approximately taken while I type here from NF...

Balance = how much you have
Equity = how much you have if you close your positions right at that time.
Margin = how much you are using for trade.
The rest explain themselves.

i got a SHOCK when i see the NEGATIVE free margin ....
how come they didnt; close any of my trade even those i got Negative ???



Luckily all the trade are turning , so my account is recovering ......... this really give me a shock ....
shouldn;t trade too many .....
and luckily this is DEMO ......if this is LIVE, probably I'll have a heart attack....

Northfinance dont have a margin call. They just bust your ass when you are on 0$

Sometimes its good, sometimes its bad. Depending on how much money you want to make, and how safely you make it. It also depends on how much u are willing to lose too.

i didn;t know NF didn;t hv margin call......
well...at least that is Virtual ....

by the way, can i play virtual again after losing all ???

I remember marketiva have margin call....the rest also like that ?

Read my entire thread, I'm sure you will find a practicle, easy way to make pips and develope your own trading strategy. You can't go for the pot of gold over night. lol

I'm impressed. Losing 210k in one day! I have a new strat I'm in demo with 30k and I'm having trouble losing it hehe.
Try and tone down your reward/risk ratio to a manageable amount eh? I bet you were like doing 200 lots trades and getting caught out eh?

my best record was the 1st week in NF....in one day I managed to profit 50k !! (i think that was 2nd day i played......)


OHH.....all the GBP, EUR start to LONG lioa....

now i trade with $300 , 1:500 account.....something which going to be my LIVE account soon..



I know, everyone have their own strategy....
mine is fairly simple...i dun hv much time...
so I just trade whenever i have the time, basically i dun bother about the news ....
i just browse through all the 1min ----1days grapgh .....
from there i make the decision to SHORT or LONG....
and ..i dun USE stop loss.....I know the importance of Stop-loss...
i only used it when i'm in profit ...


anyway LOSING 210K is really something new i learned !!

U should consider swing trade if u don't have time for trading.

I heard of swing trade.....isn;t that for OPtion trading ?
