It's funny to see your negative thoughts, while I'm almost sure that you are using his operating system - Microsoft Windows. Just because he was first to create a user-friendly OS doesn't make him bad.
If you didn't know, Bill Gates and his wife have been donating to various charities more than anyone else...

User friendly? I dont think so...UserFriendly means freedom for me...Windows is the software of capitalism

Yesterday i have seen the documentary "The Code Linux" Here is an great example from the movie:
"When you cook you maybe writing recipies...and maybe others writes recipies too
And probably you exchange recipies with others...and probably you change the recipies(add extra milk, etc.) and share it with others...
...and imagine a world where if you change recepies you are called pirate...and you are arrested - Thats the world of microsux"

I'm not saying that MS Windows > Linux. I'm just saying that much more PC users have chosen MS Windows as their OS, because it is easy to use.
Linux is a wonderful open-source OS, but for an ordinary user it could be a bit too hard to handle.

well there are some really easy to use linux distribs like mandrake and suse! however on servers and network terminals the unix/linux systems are in majority

First of all he isn't the richest person in the world.There are many people richer then him.Just people don't really know them. He also isn't very smart technology wise.He is just a good business man.He was smart.He made an investment and it payed off for him.

More people use Windows because it has been pushed on them. Most PC manufacturers are not allowed to offer alternatives like Linux or BSD etc... pre-installed because the big M$ monster penalises them.
Linux is starting to catch up though not only in usability stakes, but in usage. The government of Munich has done a massive Linux installation program, and my Wife's French company Eau de Paris (Water Co of Paris) has switch it's back office servers to Linux, and has started using open source software like OpenOffice on the user's desktops in preparation for a switch to full Linux use in the near future.
