I am just curious. There are not many updates in the Malaysian thread with regard to the 2nd chargeback.
In Singapore, a lot of us are actively pursuing the 2nd chargeback or pre-arbitration. So I am just curious why u guys dun seem to mention about it? Even for the first chargeback, there seems to be little discussion over here.
Perhaps someone can enlighten me just to satisfy my curiosity.

Is not that ppl are not actively talking about chargeback in here, but already give up or fed up with the available service that bank provide here. I have call them mostly every week or 2 week one to ask about the status of my chargeback, is more than 80 days. They still say pending investigation. piss off already ...

Right. I agree that the banks service level needs to brush up a fair bit. Personally, I have already went pre-arb and 2nd CB with SP, and this is paying off. I have recovered at least 75% of the funds and some of my friends have even got back all, and surprisingly, I must say that Maybank Singapore is doing quite a good job

mine case might be a bit HARD.....
happened last year, November, i bought something in ebay, paid through Paypal credit card....
the item shipped by surface mail, (normally, need 3 months for surface mail to arrive)..
so i started to email the seller since January ....she asked me to wait.....
then ...after a few time ....she didn;t even bother to reply my mail..
then i reverse Paypal transaction, but can't since it over 90 days...
.... in the end, in april/may (i can;t remember the exact ).... i went to Citibank to chargeback ...
the officer, said very hard la,bla bla bla....i INSIST, and she finally asked me to fill up some forms...
and till now i have not heard anything from them....
well, the item cost me GBP20 , although is not much to some.......but

Yeah, I think is 60 or 90 days, not confirmed, but is already more than the days. Did u call them up to check about the status? are they doing their job? Been calling them again and still pending investigation.

I think Malaysian Bank Service Level is not up to mark yet. They are scared to get involved. I have difficulties with MBFcards. They simply told me that my chargeback was not successful and ask me to go to arbitration with scampay but I must be prepared to lose another USD400 as documention fees if I lose the case.
MBFcards are not protecting their client enough. Since my chargeback was only USD100, so I have decided to forgo the case for the fear of losing another USD400.

bro, when i saw your posting, i thought my id kena hijack.
To be frank, Maybank Singapore staff has been very helpful in my case. I had personally won 8 out of 8 and together with my friends, we have won 35 transactions together.
I also have malaysian bank acct, RHB, HL and MB. All are equally hopeless in terms of their service level. I recall RHB made me wait for 45 min just to transfer my FD to normal saving acct....wat to do....my wife told me to endure.
Another incident in MB (Johor) is that we have made appointment to come down on a Saturday to open acct. The appointment was supposingly 11.00 am saturday, and we went to talk to the staff looking for the officer in charge. We were told she was busy with the reception work and made us wait for another half hour before attending to us, where the account setup took only 15 min....
I really give up on their service attitude...

I received letter from Maybank late last month saying that they can't help much because I had authorised all the transactions. Whatever. Anyway, I'm compiling documents 4 2nd chargeback and recently, Maybank credited 2 out of 13 transactions to my credit card.. Sadly, those only small amount. Should I continue the chargeback or wait 4 the rest?
