Thanks to kanav (you would find him here), the difficult task of funding my egold account was made easy... I have a silght query though. How am I supposed to convert my egold to INR, whenever I need it. Or more specifically if I use thegoldshop.biz how will I be paid? I can't understand the form they have put up on their website for selling egold.... it says the withdrawal methods are bank wire, bank transfer and US$ cheque.... how am I to select one of them.
Any one having experience with it, please reply.
Regards, netnut.

But I doubt if anyone would be willing to buy egold from me because I don't have a reputation like yours... so I doubt if anyone would buy from a newbie. Moreover you won't have the transaction in your control, I mean I'll have my egold exchanged only if I find buyers.... what happens when there are not many or not as many as I want?

Hi
I would Suggest Asian Pay. Signup with them--verify your account and bring your funds to your Bank account. They are a real Govt registered company in Thailand. They will soon(witihn few weeks) introduce Debit Cards. So instead of buying unknow debit cards---wait few more days and in the meantime do the account verification process. I have not found a genuine company like them as yet!!
They let their members to visit their office and meet the CEO.
Also they have different Stock options--from where you can earn not high but steady profit with them!! I hope this will solve your problem a little bit!!

i was going thru google for e-gold exchanges and found this letter over there.
it states as follows
RBI cautions against 'e-gold' use as currency
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has clarified on incidents off late, where dubious groups are creating a false impression among the public about the validity of "e-gold", which is being called by offshore groups as valid electronic currency freely allowed in India and with a status of a foreign currency.
The group floating this concept is one e-Gold, which is based in Bermuda --a Tax Haven Island in the Atlantic. There is nothing new about such dubious concepts, given the fact that the internet is flooded with thousands of such schemes, which claim to provide users with alternatives to legal currency.
The RBI got a whiff of this scheme through a pamphlet, which was being circulated with newspapers in the country. This stated that NRIs use this facility to make remittances directly to their families in India.
The RBI has clarified that "e-gold" is not a currency of any sovereign state. "Use of "e-gold" in any transaction is violative of current rules in force in India. Members of the public, banks, money changers and other FIs are, therefore, cautioned against the use of "e-gold" as a currency in their transactions," said a RBI release.
The pamphlet offers people to open an "e-gold" account and states that e-gold is accepted in payment for goods and services as currencies, from somebody willing and able to make the exchange.
A Web site of the group operating this service says that e-gold is fully backed at all times by gold bullion in allocated storage, which RBI says is clearly in violation of domestic regulations.

Hi ,
This is the best choice for cashing out your E-Gold account.. (Hence the name) Best Gold Card was started by the same people that run 1MDC. If you trust 1MDC then you can trust BGC. Bestgoldcard costs now $49 ...not many cards out there for that or less, and none from companies with the reputation BGC has !. This card has it all ! check my signature
mail me if you need some additional info info@mslsoft.com

Hi, This is Amit from Kolhapur, India. Me thinks the best way to fund your e-gold account is by opening an acct. at the local HSBC branch. Then transfer your money through other e-gold supporting sites such as egoldbiz (not sure whether the name is right) etc.. These sites accept payments from HSBC branches. You can also sell e-gold to them.
Let me know if this post proves useful.
Thanks, Amit.

I agree, but it's not a very big problem if you sell/buy with honesty, but yes it's a problem! REPUTATION MATTERS So far i have done honest exchange with many guys, they send me money first then I send them the Gold. They never faced any problem because i have always gave them within minutes.
I am also thinking to use ExchangeG.com though!

Ok ,
the rbi not saported e-gold, but indians can use the e-gold, because we are converting e-gold to INR through RBI aproved ATM ( international ) cards or services. ( if any pickpocketer give you money then that money you can use, but that pickpocketing was illegal so you can escape.)

If EGold was not allowed in India then there would have been open ban,The information being circulated on the net that RBI has not authorised Egold transactions in India is to be studied in detailed,According to my knowledge,RBI does not mind unless the funds are coming inside the country
