Yes
1. To obtain a CC in the US you have to be 18 years of age. 2. To open a checking account without having your parents name attached to it you also have to be 18. 3. How would your parents know if you invest in a HYIP or Autosurf unless you tell them or you use the share ecurrency accounts with them? 4. Yes, they do send bills for cell phones online
As long as your in good faith being 18 is a wonderful age

I'm saying do as you please but remember that the profit isn't GUARANTEED anywhere and I have a feeling you be pretty upset if you lost that amount of money.

Im going to go to college in August, all the way up near Duluth, Minnesota
1) I don't think I would recommend having a CC in college, just not a very smart thing IMO. I know I probably won't being I will already be going in the hole from the school loans
3) Yes Im in them been in them since I was quite a bit younger, lol
4) Yeah, you can get prepaid cell phones too...The only phone service I get up where I will going to college at would be prepaid everything else the bars are crap...
5) I dunno, I would imagine some college girls are easy to get especially if you live on campus...

A debit card would be a better choice for you at first, but you'll need the bank account first.
Are you going away to school? I don't know why you'd have to keep all this a secret from your parents, it's normal and necessary stuff (except maybe the hyip's & autosurf). If you are going to be away from home you will need a way to pay for expenses, you can't carry around wads of cash.

my advice:
get a job and use some of that money. dont mess with CC funds and autosurfs. might pay off but if it doesnt, ur screwed.
im in college myself, get a debit card. im a senior now and just applied for my first cc a few weeks ago. i also have 2 jobs and i wont be charging anything expensive to it simply to start building up my credit.
yes, girls are easy. although, i wouldnt know, ive been with the same one my entire college career
with alchohol its even easier

I'd recommend getting a CC as soon as possible so you can get a jump start on building your credit. Just make sure you understand how they work and don't make stupid purchases with it. Pay off your entire balance every month, and you should be good to go. Obviously, if you have no self control, and you are bad about paying bills on time, you should avoid a CC until you are mature enough to handle those responsibilities, but otherwise, I think its prudent that you start building your credit early.
That said, if you are thinking about opening a credit card to fund your e-gold account to play in these ponzi's, you are playing with fire.

Guess I better never -ever- get a credit card

You should definitely learn some self control. By the current looks of it, putting $6000 into unknown hands is a very risky first move. Start with small amounts at first, then try and get your original money back. How do I do it? I keep my online and offline funds separate. That way losses online won't affect me all that much. I'm actually glad I've done it this way since I've had my share of big losses in the past in Autosurfs/doublers.
