Ok, I keep seeing the canada currency getting stronger and us dollar getting weaker, I just want a bank/checking account in canada where I can turn some of my dollars into canada money. anyone know how..thx

You can try Citibank.

I think you would need to walk in the door of a Canadian bank before they consider you, but not too sure.

I was posted to Canada years ago by the army, they opened an account for me then and I never closed it when I left. I Still use it. I don't recommend you rush off and join the army though
