Depending on the setting of your account, Egold will ask you to enter a PIN from an email if they detect an IP/browser change.
I have experienced this couple of times before and received the email instantly. Thus, letting me continue to logon.
Today, a change was detected on my IP/browser -- though from the last time (yesterday) I accessed my account, it was from the same computer with the same IP using the same browser. Worst, I'm not getting the email that suppose to contain the one-time PIN. Now, I can't login to my egold account.
I can't help but think that my account could have been hacked. I hope I'm wrong. But I've tried 3 times and still no email containing the PIN. Was trying to call their office but it's already after their business hour. Sent a support question and it says will reply in 2 business days...

What a relief!!! I was able to access my account now.
It seems that there was a delayed in egold's mail server sending the email. So any mods online at the moment, please close or delete this thread -- whicheve is appropriate...

Actually most of those emails are fake. I get that like 3 or 4 times a day. If you check the actual URL of the links, it won't be e-gold.

My tip: when joining a hyip, cash doubler or any other site, use a different mail adddress than the one you used to make your e-gold account. that makes your pin go to a diff address than the one the site has
and yes, pin sometimes doesn't work. it happens to me sometimes, but then you have to wait 15 minutes or more to re-request the pin

siewchoi,
From my experience, you just have to wait and cross your fingers (and toes) that it's just their mail server acting up again...

I had troubles with eGold and delays logging in as well several times the past week and this has to be with their mailer and nothing else. Hope they are aware of it and will fix it asap.

Here is another tip... Have more than single account with egold, one private and other public store your $$ in private and use public for signing up with programs. Want to be even more careful, split your stored balance between several private accounts.
Then no worries and never can lose much even in the worse scenario.

Still no email from egold for my one-time Pin after I have logged in. This is getting quite frequent. Wonder if egold is aware of this problem?

I waited more than 15 minutes and still nothing. I did use their contact form and put a different email address but never received that one either. I don't see how I can change my account's email address if I can't log in
Today, I tried to open a second account and guess what?!?
Nothing!
Oh, well, thanks anyway!

Yes, I'm having exactly the same problem as yours. I tried over and over but never got the one time PIN either. I've also emailed support twice, but never got a single reply from them. They are really screwed up man....
WTF
Feb 28 2005, 12:58 PM
I just got a response from them today. I used their contact form and put a different email address to make sure I'd get it but they said they have to contact me by fax or phone since I put a different email. Never received anything at the registered email.
I tried opening a second account and didn't get the email confirmation until today, too. So I'm just gonna use this second account.
I believe the problem is with their emails getting out, like mentioned before.
Hopes this helps...
