Well, the idiots are at it again.

I used to have around 3,000 people in my downline. Paid me fairly good.
Low and behold, I log in today and they have changed the referral program to ONE level deep.

Yep, without warning, email, What's New ( which is missing on the site ) they zapped my 3,000 affiliates which I worked hard to get. ( 2, 3, 4 ,5 ,6 deep ) I now have less than 100 on my 1st level. Made 2 cents today so far. post-36326-1110185726.gif

They did however manage to make the site look more stupid than it did. Now they use the term MY WALLET! HAHAHA! MY WALLET! censored2.gif

I guess they were either paying out too much for 6 levels, or they figured out it was a MLM scheme.

I hope someone, somehow brings them down!

A lot of affiliate programs have been switching to 1 level referral system over the past few months - to avoid being labeled as MLM and to avoid having people to rely only on passive income without any active involvement in recruitment on the part of the affiliates. In StormPay's case, there will be a decrease from 2.5%x6=15% over 6 levels to 10% on level 1. I'm OK with it. Although, it would have been nice to get some notice regarding the changes in referral commissions structure first.

Yeah, I understand. Makes me sick I lost 3,000 people in my downline. Made me some pretty good daily pocket money. Now I make 4 cents a day. crying.gif

I know how you feel. Same here. wave.gif Most of my downline was on levels 2-5. bye2.gif I'm going to wait and see what happens next before making a decision to rebuild level 1 or not. unsure.gif

Yep! Well, I have made up my mind I will never waste anymore time or effort trying to get a downline like I had with SP. 3,000 took a long time.

I'll just move on to another program somewhere. Some business who has a good business model and won't screw their affiliates.

Stormpay kills its multi tier affiliate program

Stormpay has changed their referral program from 5 tiers to one tier. This has outraged me and I am sure a lot of other affiliates will not be happy with them either. It seems to me that as soon as I start to earn some reasonable dollars from a multi tier program that they change the rules so they dont have to pay it anymore.

Stormpay is not the first to have done it. Many other merchants have done this before and it seems to be a worrying trend that merchants start with a muti tier program first to get an affiliate and user base then change to a single tier later to avoid having to make large payments to the affiliates who built their business. These tactics are what give merchants a bad name.

Luckily, not all merchants are as bad as Stormpay. One payment processor that maintains its 6 tier affiliate program is AsianPay. They have proven to be a very honest and trustworthy company that supports its affiliates and users. They have a better payment processing system anyway.

I urge all Stormpay affiliates to immediately stop using Stormpay and start using and promoting AsianPay.

maybe it's because they have reduced the stormpay auction fees. They earn fewer now... so they pay fewer for affiliate too...
