Im asking this on about 10 different message boards, and this is by far the least likely to give me an answer, but here it goes anyway.

My right upper back right below my traps will start to tingle every once in a while. could this be a pinched nerve? could it have something to do with the way i sit? it feels like it is "falling asleep."

Have you done anything either in the past or recently to injure your back? Is it painful or just uncomfortable?

Obviously, you need to see a chiropractor or physiotherapist, but 'pins and needles' which is what I assume you are referring to, usually means lack of blood supply to the area. You know like you wake up in the middle of the night with a 'dead arm' because you have been laying on it, and you get pins and needles - it's because you have cut off the circulation while you are sleeping.

Go and see a professional smile.gif

Its called lack of circulation, mainly from over fatty heart valves, taking too many prescription drugs that inflate viens and cut off blood flow, alcohol abuse etc.
Also working one side of the body that requires muscles more then the other.
Muscles swell and cut off circulation.
Many other things too.
Sclerosis of the spinal anatomy, l4 up etc.
Been goint through this for 30 plus years.
Try to relax the side that bothers you most.
Dont do any type of drugs or alcohol that can induce swelling.
Good luck.

A good massage to get the circulation improved in the area is probably all you need.
