Hi, My e-gold account just got hacked after I got an email telling me to login here http:// www. e-gold.com .maka veli.lt
I logged in there and then all of a sudden all my e-gold dissapered.
I have now phoned e-gold, sent two support tickes with screenshots of the email i got and the withdrawal and changed my e-gold password
Please inform me if there is anything else I can do and what the likelyhood is of me recovering my stolen funds.
Thanks Alot Accumet8000

Hi, this happend me to a while ago. I got an email and it says that my account settings had changed. The money was gone. The money was transfered to an account named "looser" Since I did this change it have been safe so far.
I changed all my account-settings
Detect IP Address Change Sensitivity here it must be HIGH
Detect Browser Change here it must be ENABLED
Home and Work Mode here it must be DISABLED
Then I changed my Browser to Mozilla Firefox.

This is an important note. Although if you use a proxy or your IP is chaging it may cause trouble...

Well the reason why you both got hacked is because you believed those emails! Any email from Egold will not contain a link to log in to your account.
Never listen to those phising emails or this will just happen again.

EGold rarely sends emails and always check the site before you click on it. If you put your mouse over the link you can see it your browser and if it ain't www.egold.com (make sure it is that not something that looks like it) then you can click it...
You won't get your funds back sorry

i get those types of emails for ebay and paypal. i always forward them to the either paypal or ebay and have them look into it, hopefully by doing that they can find the hackers

As posted, http:// www. e-gold.com .maka veli.lt is not from the Egold domain.
egold is not hakable and if ur egold money has beed stolen it's not the egold problem , it's ur pc's problem , u must use the power anti spyware/trojan/virus/keyloger and i think Mcafee is the best i use it always and i never had ur problem and about the egold email , (lol) , egold never send u an email about ur account or anything else , u shouldn't click any like in the email u receive from egold (SPAM)

i think it is because you key in your informations and password inside there ? that's how they got the info and logged into your account...
never trust website like this..and confirm it with the admin..

Your personal email and your HYIP/autosurf email should always be different. I get fake e-gold emails all the time to the email I sign up with for hyips/autosufs. I always laugh because the email they send it to doesn't even have a e-gold account associated with it.
Just make sure you learned from this mistake and don't repeat it.
