As far as openings are concerned I usually play Giuoco Piano or Four Knights Game, or variations thereof, don't play the more far out openings unless it's for funl I won't play less than a three day game. A word of advice: I've never won if my opponent plays Queen's Gambit. I'm useless against that opening but willing to learn if anybody's better.

I can't stand games that take days, I would rather play a three minute blitz game. Thoughts and strategy become too fragmented in extended games.

Thoughts and strategies only exist in games longer than three minute blitz games!

I personally like un-timed games, but ones which are played out in one sitting. I was saying I prefer a three minute blitz over a three day game, but its not my first preference.

In other words, a real life type game. But over the internet a three minute blitz in my mind is crazy. But if you can hack a three minute blitz you can hack a three day game, surely? Or aren't you ruff enuff?

Well, when I play over the Internet, I play using 'Jin' so it is real-time anyway. I would lose interest and focus on a game that I didn't finish in one sitting. I do sometimes play blitz games and enjoy them to an extent.
There is one type I can't stand and would put below even a game that took days; lightning games. They are useless, it is just two people randomly moving pieces with little or no intention behind the moves. It's basically a competition of who can move pieces quicker

That's why I don't play them.

If you're such a formidable real time player then why won't you play me? It doesn't have to take days, you know. How does a one day sound?

Pawns are a shot of vodka, everything else is a double. Depending on which rules you play, you have to neck a shot either when you take a piece or lose a piece.
They make propa vodka chess sets you know!

Sub-Zero, I'll download the jinchess interface in a few days, then we can sort it.
And Mutant Dog, vodka chess is genius! Played it a fair few times myself, in fact I own a board for it. Doesn't usually work for me as I'm better than most of my real life opponents. Although it did help me slaughter an ex-junior Welsh champion once!
Edit: the way I play it, each piece is a full shot. When you take a piece, you down it.

I played radmax via yahoo messenger a couple times, and if I recall correctly he hasnt beat me yet. I am the chess master!
I love to trade queens. I actually learned to play without the queen because my dad would play me as a small child and we would start with NO QUEEN. Sometimes we would play games with no queen and no rooks. Makes you learn your bishops and horses.
I love the knights fork.
FORK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU ... lol
