Here is something that I found of interest.

But it doesn't explain why SP took my money, when I have even been surfing 12DP program for a while?????

Call your CC issuing bank and charge back any recent CC debits to your account from ScamPay. It seems your CC has been charged by ScamPay.

I went to a Banknorth branch today and filled out a debit dispute form against Stormpay. The bank only asked for an ID card, my Banknorth Visa debit card, and the start and end dates of the transanctions. I told them Stormpay is an online payment processor like Paypal, and that they took my money and never paid me back, I also told them that there has been many allegations recently in the online forums alleging that Stormpay has scammed them their money. They made me sign my name on 3 forms, and told me that I should expect a response in 10 days. I'll let you guys know if I get any money back.

My Stormpay account was zeroed out this morning. According to the transaction history, my money was deposited into 12DP's Stormpay account. What's up with that? post-36326-1110185726.gif

I requested a withdraw to get my measly $40 out of stormpay before the whole thing went down the tubes. When I checked my account today, the money had been charged back to Luxury-hyip post-36326-1110185726.gif . I was going to wait for my 12dp money, see if stormpay resolved it,but this makes me think I won't ever get anything back without a chargeback.

I am currently trying through Wells Fargo. They said the investigation would take up to 10 days. We'll see what happens after that. I've been banking with them a long time now so hopefully that works to my favor.
I didn't even provide them with any real details. All I said was I used a payment processor that is holding funds that neither I nor the merchant are allowed to access.

Peter

Just for your information Wells Fargo is about the best internet fraud protection bank out there. You should read their internet fraud protection policy. They guarantee to refund you 100% of the funds that were fraudulently taken from you. I know this policy is real because I had a similar situation with a pp about a year ago who took over 1400 USD from me and the funds were back in my account within 24 hours. I will bank with WELLS FARGO FOREVER!!!

stormpay is blameless?...StormPay owner Steve Girsky said Wednesday he welcomes the Consumer Affairs investigation. He said he plans to meet today with the Better Business Bureau to go through many of the complaints filed with them."I think the agencies would not be doing their due diligence if they did not check us out," he said. "I invite anyone who wants to to look at this.

"We have nothing to hide."

StormPay, Girsky said, has charged back — or refunded
Girsky said he could not comment on specific accounts without permission from the account holder, but he reiterated the company is working to rectify the situation.

Girsky also denied allegations that checks issued to StormPay customers have bounced and StormPay has canceled customer's ATM cards connected with their accounts. He said StormPay is working to make sure people can have their money invested with 12DailyPro refunded "to the extent possible."

"Every nickel in StormPay accounts is accounted for," he said.

Clement said she could not comment on specific complaints received about StormPay.

"We are now receiving complaints from consumers, and we will continue to mediate for the consumer with StormPay, but it is in the investigative stage right now," she said in an e-mail release.

I filed a debit dispute w/ Bank of America last week and got a call today from them. Stormpay told them I did not attempt to contact them through telephone or online support ticket, AND that I asked for my Stormpay account to be canceled on 2/10. So while I was on the phone w/ the bank I logged into my Stormpay account and read off to her every single one of my unanswered support tickets. I also told her that Stompay froze the accounts of merchants, etc. who I send money to, making it impossible for me to get either a refund or what I paid for. So far I have my money back in my account, but thats only temp credit til they investigate. I still haven't been asked to sign anything yet sad.gif

I am in Australia. I went into my bank and did a chargeback this week I still have not heard back from them at this time. I just told them that I paid for a service to Stormpay who is a third party processor on the internet and I did not receive the service I paid for.

Even though this is serious and a sad situation, i actually laughed when i took a screenshot of my history after they zeroed my account. The reason I laughed, they had zeroed out transactions as far back as roughly three years ago when I first heard of them and thier TymGlobal program.

I'd like to see what they have to say about that, does this mean that this money has gone back into some matrix sites I was in a few years ago and thier accounts have been frozen too??

It just shows what a mess Stormpay has made of this whole thing when all they had to do was allow the sites that Stormpay didn't want to allow their services to anymore the chance to withdraw their money and use a different pay service.

I like simple math.

My StormPay account was funded with a grand total of $89.01 from one bank payment, and the rest by credit card.

Also added was $1.06 earned via StormClix.

All other transactions were divided between 3 different auto-surf programs. 12DP was one of the programs.

The only withdrawl I attempted was for $45.00, which was cancelled.

A total of $46.28 was then charged back to 12DP.

When I asked about it, I was given the same "standard" reply about earnings that belong to other people, blah, blah blah. They even had the nerve to imply they did me a favor by only charging back enough to bring the balance to zero, and not take it negative.

It's really quite simple. I funded the account with $90, and tried to withdrawl only half of that amount. Any assertion that I'm trying to withdrawl earnings belonging to other people is pure garbage.

All the money went to programs they "don't allow". Fine, but if they can't pay me, then I can't pay them. Where's MY money?

One statement made by StormPay has continued to bother me since I read it in one of the articles written over the last 2 weeks.

The statement was "StormPay is not holding enough funds to cover what people claim 12DP owe's them".

Hey, I'm fine with that. I'm not asking 12DP to pay me more money, I just want back what was ALREADY IN MY STORMPAY account!

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have the "earnings" I expected, but how can StormPay claim it doesn't have the money it froze?

I don't recall anyone claiming that StormPay has to pay off 12DP's debt.

I accepted the possibility that I might lose money with 12DP and the other auto-surf programs. I never considered the payment processor would decide to play "mommy" with thousands of people's money to determine where I should or shouldn't spend my funds.

The helpdesk at StormPay is a joke. If the answer can be canned into that "standard" reply, you'll get that pretty quickly. If you request, or more to the point, demand, a real answer with relevant information, the ticket goes unanswered.

Not exactly the service I expect from a creditable company. And certainly not the service I'd expect from a company that requires it's customers to trust them.

I remain hopefull, but the reality of the situation does not look good.

You should ask your bank about that - they are the ones who have to credit your account or to deny your claim depending on the outcome of their own investigation. Nobody here will know the answer - it's between you and your bank. tongue4.gif

They did end up getting me back my money from Stormpay a few days after my request which I was very happy about. Not many loyal companies out these days it seems. I also told them to not process any payments that come from Stormpay, so that's set up.

On a related note the day I got back my money, I closed my Stormpay account for good. Today (a week and a half later), they sent me a message telling me my account had been suspended for a chargeback. screwy.gif

It's been almost 2 months since I've done the charge backs. Today I called Bank of america for a status of the charge backs. They said since feburary they've tried contacting SP and since SP never even answered the calls my temp credit is now permanent clapping7.gif
I'm not even going to contact my credit union about my SP dispute with them because I'm 1000% sure that temp credit is now permanent too. harhar.gif

When did you file yours?

I have Bank of America too and filed mine on February 2nd. Was thinking of calling to check on the status but may not be necessary.

Thanks

I just got my chargebacks approved yesterday! thumbup(1).gif

I have a question for those who've done successful chargebacks: did you report your CC as lost and get a new one? I asked SP to remove my CC and bank account info, but I'm not sure how much I trust them. dry.gif
4rc4ne
OH crapo, spoke too soon. Recieved a letter from my credit union reguarding SP response. Apprently while my account was suspended they added some cash to it!
Wow great, except the fact my account is SUSPENEDED and I can not log in. What good is that money?

Here's what some of the letter from the CU says

"This is in follow up to a recent letter just mailed to you regarding the Stormpay disputes filed in your behalf.

VISA has sanctioned our pursing the Stormpay dispute cases. VISA has confirmed that they are holding Stormpay responsible in these cases in the same manner as Ebay, Paypal and/or Western Union and they are accountable for the failure of a seller to provide merchandise/service . This is a tremendously important ruling since it could me we would not have to take it all the way through Arbitration against the merchant. Hopefully, the acquirer for Stormpay will accept the debit once I file the Pre-Arbitration."

So people, VISA IS ON YOUR SIDE!

Ok guys....please forgive me here (seriously, please forgive me...because I flame people for doing the same thing)...but I only have about 30 minutes to contact my bank before they close, so I can't go back and read all 33 pages.

I just got message from SP that they were instigating a chargeback against me. (the one and only payment I ever received from an HYIP....doesn't even cover the loss from the the same HYIP). I am afraid they will try to debit my checking account.

I have emailed my Credit Union...telling them to revoke ANY request coming from stormpay. Right now, I can't get them on the phone.

I have submitted a ticket revoking authorization.

Are people having luck doing the proactive thing and revoking authorizations?
