Hi all.

OK, i recently registered my self as self-employed and after being told that i couldn't put "whatever" down as my trade i settled for DJ. When i inquired about other sources eg: Ebay trading I was told that i would have to register that as a seperate "job".

So do i need to register "investor" or something similar as another job?

I'm very new to auto-surfing, HYIPs etc. and i'm only really using 12dp at the moment but i have kept records of my ins and outs between bank & SP aswell as all the obvious. I certainly dont see myself withdrawing any money before april. Have i still got 3 months before i register this second "job"?

I've read the UK tax thread but i figured this was slightly different.

Hope someone can help.

I just do HYIP's, no autosurf, & I won't be registering as self employed or anything like that. All I'll be doing is registering any profits (if any) through the self-assesment form at the end of the year.

Wondering why you felt the need to go the self employment route?

You do get write off's when self employed, can add up to pretty good tax break's, also being audited.

I wanted to go self-employed anyway, i dont work for anyone else, so i guess i am.

And as a DJ/sound engineer i can write off all my expenditure on records, CDs and PA equipment, which adds up to quite a lot! biggrin.gif

In the UK there is still a legal tax status for people who consider themselves "gentlemen". From a tax perspective a lot of people who are not really self employed or employed but who earn an income actually qualify as "gentelmen"

Curious but true
