Hey I'm a noob on craigslist. I need more leads. Hit me with some ideas here. Please dont just look and ignore. This is far to common on most forums this is a communtiy I would appreciate any opinion.

You have to be very careful on craigslist they will close your account without notice and you have to have a phone number and email associated with your account. Only post one ad in a category every 48 hours. They are not fond of affiliate links either. I like backpage.com a little better but you have to be careful with them as well. Good luck!

Stay within your city limits. For instance if for whatever location you choose there will be about 20 more surrounding cities you can post in. Don't try to jump from state to state, they will just ghost your posts. Instead use those surrounding posts.

Make sure that each post you make is different. If you post the same thing to different cities, they will take your ads down. So change up the wording, and change up your phone number, for instance, 248-477-8000, 248.477.8000, 248<477<8000. This way they don't recognize a similar number in your posts and pull them down.

Instead of creating a link within your ad, use your phone number. Adding links brings bad attention to your ads and causes people to flag them for removal. Get a free phone number through Google voice, record a voicemail greeting that includes direction to your website.

The key to craigslist is to build a few posts everyday over time, and then renew them every days. So, for example do three different posts per day and pout them in three surrounding cities. The next day add three more different posts, perhaps in different categories. Do this each day. By the third day, you can renew the first three posts you made so that they appear at the top of the list again. Complete this process over a 7 day period and you have 21 different ads working for you that you can renew regularly.

The main reason why ads get ghosted is because somebody from one city is trying to post into another city. The way around this problem is to have somebody in each city that you want the ad to be posted, to actually do the posting for you.

Basically you need a guy in NYC to post your NYC ads, a guy in Boston to post your Boston ads etc.

This way the ad never ghosts because a person from the right city posted the ad for you.

There is a brand new website which offers this service. You can either hire people from various cities, or even work as a freelancer in your own city making great cash.
