Craigslist is the world's largest website where you can place free ads in various cities across the United States and generate interest for your product or opportunity.
In fact, it's ranked the 60th most visited website in the world according to Alexa! That means it's a source of SERIOUS traffic for you and your business. Therefore, Craigslist is a good source to place classified ads and drive visitors to your capture page.
Step 1: Once you're at Craigslist.org select the city you'd like to start with.
Step 2: Next you'll need to pick the Category you'll like to advertise under. I suggest that you start by advertising under the "small business ads" sections. Click on the "sm biz ads" and then click on "post".
Step 3: Next, you will enter the body of your ad under the "Posting Description" field. I suggest that you keep this ad short and simple.
Step 4: Now you will come to the "Permissions" section of the ad creation process. Make sure you check the box so you're not be solicited by others in the network.
Step 5: At this point click "Continue". CraigsList will send you an email that you'll need to verify. Click on the link provided to view your ad.
You will then want to click the "publish" button at the top to make your ad go live if everything looks good.
Once you click publish, give them about 15 minutes to post your ad.
Congratulations...You've just learned the basics when it comes to posting ads on Craigslist.org

Yep, a very basic guide indeed. You have to be very careful on craigslist because they are very strict especially when it comes to marketers and affiliates.

I agree completely. I posted 4 different ads with 4 different links in 4 cities but in the same category and they closed my account. I read that you can only place one ad every 48 hours in the same category, which I did not know at the time. I had no other ads running.

Yea Craigslist is becoming a pain in the tail to work with! When I first started online marketing that's how I was able to make my first sale. Now I stay away from craigslist they just too hard too work with.

Craigslist would continue to be a good source of traffic and business for many online and even offline marketers and people are still trooping to the site for info...

craigslist is a monster you dont want to play with. you can post if you can follow their rules. the amount of traffic you can get from craigslist is very real just as long as you post in their guidelines. Their guidelines are posted on the site. If you take the time to do research you can make craigslist your little b****!!!

Great nugget! Craigslist is incredible and they know they are that's why it's easier than ever to get ghosted on craigslist. I suggest before posting any ads on craigslist it's best to google or youtube information on how to not get ghosted first.

Posting ads on craigslist really worth but they remain on live the site for a very limited period and they get deleted so often. Because craigslist community is known to flag ads as spam. which is very time wasting . However if you have a good team with good time to invest, then it can be a good way to get free online traffic to your website.

Actually ads stay up for 30 days and you can renew them after 48hr. This places them back at the top of the list. To me Craigslist is the ultimate instant traffic source. The categories make it easy to target your market. People come there looking for something and all you need to do is put your product or service in front of them.

Avoid Ad-Ghosting, is really a main issue when you post multiple, suppose if you market a website or product, and post the ad on multiple cities, then your all ads will be ghosted. Is it right? if yes then what would be the solution?

That's true mostly. Much of this depends on what categories you post in, how quickly you post, the number of times you post in a day, and other factors. What's most important is how the CL system sees you as the user. If you look like one person posting all over you WILL get ghosted eventually.
Check out my signature if you are interested in a solution. Must warn you, if you are not accustomed to posting on Craigslist already it may not be for you. It's very doable but not newbie-friendly stuff.

I would really like to have detailed information about how to post ads on craiglist without ghosting, I am in internet marketing since 2008, but what I really ad posting on craigslist and their cheap user-interface, and I really don't know why craigslist is still very successful with it so simple user-interface
