IF you haven't heard of Firefox before go here Firefox.
Basically its a web browser much like Internet Explorer but its MUCH MUCH better. It has tons of features and is probably the most secure browser there is. It'll prevent lots of spyware being installed, has a built in popup blocker and can be updated so you can install optional tools such as adblockers which can block ads on any webpage. It also has tabbed browsing so you can browse different pages from just one window. Its 100% free so you don't need to worry about registering or paying for anything.
When you install it you can import all your favourites and settings from internet explorer which will make the switch much easier. I also recommend you to install a theme and the googlebar for it. You can do this from the Tools menu and going to extensions or themes.
I been using it for 2 months now and can honestly say that its the best internet browser I ever used and have recommended it to eveyrone I know. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose!!!!

The problem with "Advanced Browser" is that its built on the Internet Explorer engine and still suffers from all the exploits in internet explorer.

I switched to Firefox a month or so ago and really like it!
But it seems the find function on mine has a life of it's own.
half the time whenever I try to post in a forum or e-mail etc the find pops up and whatever I am typing in the forum etc is directed to the find function and I have to stop, reallign my cursor and then it happens again.
Very annoying
How do I fix this.

for those on 1.0.x dont bother with ugrading to the new 1.5 version
quirksmode (pages with invalid html - more than 50% of them out there) no longer works properly
pages with javascript code are a bit hit and miss
there are a *lot* of rendering issues with the new standards compliant engine.
saldy with earlier versions of /fox you *had* to use i.e. at certian places (amex merchant account management is i.e. only) etc
now with the latest f/fox its swung the other way - you have to use i.e. for most things, unless you find a site f/fox compatible
I'm *sure* they'll fix it (or it will simply get dumped en-mase and go the way of so many other browsers) but right now it doesnt come recommended at all.

I've tried using Firefox and sure liked the tabbed surfing
But other than that, I really don't see a compelling need to switch over for good. I'm using IE most of the time... and FF for autosurfs

Use FF. But IE isn't as bad if you get a model based on the IE client just not IE itself

Downloaded the latest FF version (1.5). Dont see any major changes .. one thing i did notice was you can drag tabs around. Don't really mess around with the extensions and stuff. Last time i loaded a couple of extensions my browser kept crashing .. so i keep it simple and clean these days. BTW, a multi-tab IE is long overdue from Microsoft .. when are those guys are Redmond gonna wake up ?

Yea... I use firefox, but using it has some problems sometimes. Pages are not shown correctly or something... There are some functions that are not able with firefox. Than IE is necessary. Anyway, firefox is my favorite browser for such functions like Bookmarks Toolbar, searching in Tabs, Pop-up blockers and others...

I used Firefox exclusively because I believe it to be the best by far. I should know. I have 14 browsers on my system and have tested each and every one. True there are the odd IE only pages but they are getting rare and I do have a emulated version of IE on my Linux machine to visit sites that require it.

Firefox is great. IE has gone by the wayside.
Maybe someone can help me. I need to upgrade my Firefox browser, but the last time I did that I lost all of my favorites, bookmarks and everything else. I am scared to load the newer version. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you remedy it?
Thanks
