Anyone know of good places to invest money for high interest? Banks are so low in providing interest.

I'd be putting it in the stock market. Wait a bit first because we will see some big falls in the near future when the Eurozone collapses. Then buy in when everyone else is running away.

Have you ever considered being a hard money lender? People will pay you points and high interest rates to borrow your money for short periods of times (you set the terms, but usually 6-12 months). Normally they're using the money to purchase a home at below market rate, rehab it, and sell for a profit, at which time they pay you back. You put a lien on their property until they do, and if they don't, the home is yours.
It's something to consider, since most bank interest rates are horrible and the stock market is quite volatile.

If you can take BIG risks -- stock market can give you great returns. If you can hold your investments over a long haul -- gold and silver bullion can turn out to be very rewarding.
