Please could someone explain what Squidoo is and how exactly it works. I have never heard of the term before coming to this forum. Any help would be appreciated.

You are correct...in Squidoo we can publish articles or lenses and we can use it to promote products or link to outside sites...there is now a trend to use this site promoting Amazon products.
