Is Facebook Marketing Becoming a Marketing Tool?

By EinfoGeek

Today, Facebook is probably hottest social interacting websites available in the net. Here, you are able to keep in touch with your pals as well as your relatives or even meet new friends and enter new relationships. For all the resources and applications that Facebook has to offer, you will notice that fun and it will definitely provide a great way for you to be able to communicate with other people with accounts on fb.

At some point, it is becoming a marketing tool. The sad part is that because of that very same reason of it's marketing capabilities, SPAMMERS are flooding in the website. I don't really think that all niche are going to sell well in this kind of website so I don't really understand why a lot of spammers are still trying to push their luck with it. Anyways, buying their ads or having yours posted in their site could be one of the ways (but again, it wouldn't be that much oof a success to all.) People go there to socialize and not shop.

Hi EinfoGeek,
Just wanted to share something here that I think you and others who are reading will find useful... smile.gif
Facebook is already a great (and growing) marketing tool.

The markets that really convert best are:
- Health (example: weight loss, healthy eating)
- Wealth (example: work from home, internet marketing, start your own business)
- Lifestyle (example: motivation, self-improvement)

I realised over some time of learning and experimenting in this business,
that if you stick to these BIG 3 markets, you can never go wrong.

True that not all niches will sell well.
The important thing to always remember is to provide value to people--
things that are a need in their lives. (In this case, its the Health, Wealth and Lifestyle niche)
Not something that's just a trend, but an on going daily need.
Its also true that people go to Facebook to socialize, not to shop. (Although I would'nt be surprised if shopping would actually be part of Facebook's future)
People do not like to be sold to. Its through building a relationship with them,
listening to what they want and providing it to them is the way to go in any long-term successful buisness, whether online or offline.
Once you’ve become a trusted member and delivered some great value in your posts, articles, website .etc,
people will naturally want to learn more about what you have to offer.
(And it will work for you, whether Facebook is spammed or not)...
Well, of course, only if you're not the spammer! doh.gif

People are smart and they are aware of alll the security threats online. Why would they add you at the first place if they don't know you? How will you start such "relationship" if at first attempt they kick you out. The only people that accepts tons and tons of friend requests from people they don't know are the exact people who are selling products and services as well.

Facebook is indeed a marketing tool. Either you are branding your company or selling a product.
Social Networks (Facebook on top of them) are even beneficial to SEO today. You will be able to find a site faster by their Facebook URL than their homepage...
I really don't know if Facebook will become a Shop but... oh!... wait... tongue4.gif

Has facebook become an advertising tool? I am smiling to myself. The answer is an overwhelming yes. Just create a business page and present it to your friends. Get some likes for it and away you go. Suddenly, you are visible.

I suggest facebook over any social site. Go get em.

Thanks.

Well of course Facebook is powerful way to advertise on it. You just create fan page and create a group and promote to people.
Thanks

Actually ... 2 years ago -- if you had a webshop for example -- having some sort of independent branch organisation logo was leading for customers to make a buying decision. Right now? If a page has less than 50 likes? You will make no sales.

Yea, the statics support that Facebook is really becoming a marketing tool for all the business whether large or small. There are about 552 million daily active users and 955 million monthly active users. It is also found that more than half of small businesses and B2B marketers say Facebook is beneficial to their businesses and an effective marketing tool their customer through this channel only.
