No, Affiliate marketing isn't the best way. If you're willing to be a real successful internet marketer, the best way is selling own products.

I would say that is one of the good ways to earn but certainly not the only one. I wouldn't really say that there is a best marketing strategy out there cause for me, it is different depending on the following factors:

1. your niche
2. your products and services
3. your target market

I'd say not all marketing strategy does not work with all websites. It may work on one but not the other. I look at it as elements of the websites, we have to see which is the best one that will work.

I agree. If you have your own product/service to sell then you can control all areas of your business. The front-end; the back-end ~ Everything! And then you can get affiliate to work for you:) Affiliate marketing is ok to start for free or to supplement your income, but there is a lot of shady things going on in the industry such as with merchant fraud/network fraud with lead shaving, scrubbing, poor support and flat-out scams! Not all affiliate situations are this bad but believe me it can be a dirty game. So you can avoid all this by going direct and offering your own products & services. And if you decide to launch an affiliate program of your own down the line, remember to treat your affiliates good because and they will continue to send you good business.

Well, there is not really something that I would say the best way to go. It all depends on what you would like to do and your mindset.

The only thing you need to know if you want to succeed in Internet Marketing is that it takes a lot of hard work. There is no such thing as a get-rich-quick program, no matter what different "gurus" want you to believe. Then it is up for you to decide whether you want to do affiliate marketing, selling ebooks, whatever.

To sell your own products is the ultimate way, but you need to start somewhere and Rome wasn't build in a day. Currently I am doing affiliate marketing and if you do that you need to find a reliable company something that has been on the market for a long time and has proven it's worth. Do not join any new programs as you do not know what you will get.

When you have found your program it is all about relationship to your list. If you just try to sell, sell, sell you will not be successful, but if you try to help your downline and be there as a coach they will like you and help grow your team.

Then there is different ways you can do marketing, but that is another matter.

in my opinion, what took people in the past 10 years to achieve using affiliate marketing, nowadays we have seen people doing it in 1 year or less so i think we should be grateful for this new technology and new trends. everything is relatively easy but the problem where people fail the most is that they don't understand the process of making money online with whatever method they are trying to use.

It might be easier, but only for those who can make sense of the information overload. The reason why so many people still fail, even with new trends and new technology, is that they really need someone to guide them and tell them exactly what to do. There are so many methods out there, that it is very difficult to know which ones will work in any given situation. Many people today just don't have the time or resources to wade through everything trying to find what will work for them.

As someone who has earned the freedom of developing a full time income on a part time basis from both affiliate marketing AND by selling my own products, I would agree - partly. Let me clarify ....

1) Most people start out only as an affiliate - because it's simple to do and requires no product development skills. Even now I still promote as an affiliate, but only on offers that provide 100% commissions, lifetime referral tagging, and a further percentage on all following sales on the backend.

2) Selling you own products is worthwhile - after all you get to keep all the sale. But it only really takes off when you produce a product that has high conversions and therefore is very attractive for YOUR affiliates to promote. It's your affiliates who explode the results through the traffic they drive to your offer.

So... in summary, the 'best' way is the way that suits the marketers skill set at any particular time.

I prefer ad networks such as reachjunction, cj, adsense.

It can be a good way, but it´s not easy and quick. You have to put down a lot of effort in to it and do it the right way. And there is much to learn. If you succeed you will get a passiv income for a long time after the primal work are done! The best way is probably to come up with your own product and promote it. But to promote others products are a good way to start, to learn how it works.
If you don´t have the time or will to do affiliate marketing do like payed surveys instead.

I actually really enjoy affiliate marketing, building websites is rather fun and it´s exciting to se how something "grows".

I am against putting all of my eggs in one basket so to say. I think affiliate marketing is a good option and can be a great way to learn a lot of skills that help you to make and sell your own products. I do think that it is very important that you spend a lot of time researching the products that you want to sell or you will be in trouble. That said, I also think variety is so very important!

I think affiliate is a good way to earn money. i am trading with forex metal and earn money with its affiliation program. There are three main commission options to choose from or to use at the same time:

For new accounts. $5 for each account referred via affiliate.
For deposits. 10% for each deposit made by people you refer.
Commission from trading. 1 pip per lot for each lot traded by referred customer plus a revenue share.

Hi everyone . I agree affiliate marketing could be a good choice to make money online nowadays, mainly for a newbie who can not start directly with his/her own product. So, beginning as an affiliate marketer to get a slice of sales of somebody else products is not bad at all. For example, if you work with Clickbank (really solid and reliable company) you can get 75% commission or 50 %. Choosing a good company to work with, and a good product (in high demand) to sale it may be the right way to go. In this terms, I think My Online Income System by Kimberly Hoffman is a great choice for beginners; it is a well designed training program with all the content needed to start in the affiliate marketing road.

My opinion is that the best way to build a successful and profitable online business is to mix the affiliate marketing with cpc/cpm ad platform. At least for me it works, i have double earnings using that way.
