google is updating their services time to time and within a short period of time.
So we can see 3D sooner then we can expect. google is updating their services time to time and within a short period of time. So we can see 3D sooner then we can expect. I think so. Especially since we have screens that display in 3D without glasses now. I would think there is software for my Logitech webcam to allow me to record in 3D, if your display can show it...
YouTube test a stereoscopic player for watching videos in 3D. "Stereoscopy, stereoscopic imaging or 3-D (three-dimensional) imaging is any technique capable of recording three-dimensional visual information or creating the illusion of depth in an image. The illusion of depth in a photograph, movie, or other two-dimensional image is created by presenting a slightly different image to each eye,"

Cool! I never heard of that before!
Great question! I cannot wait on Youtube videos in 3D.
Google is working on what 3D videos would look like on youtube. Though youtube supports stereo 3D video containing two streams, one for each eye. In order for a video to be viewable in 3D on YouTube, it must be filmed in 3D.
I'd say it is still going to be a long time. Most of the videos in youtube are mostly home made. I have not known of a camera that can capture 3d shots that are available in the market yet so as long as we don't have those, I don't think there will be videos in 3d yet. See some movies in video don't like to be aired in youtube (some trailers maybe) for copyright issues. and at some point, youtube could be a way for piracy if they allow that stuff to happen.
Don't you need like a 120 hz refresh rate monitor and the nvidia glasses + 3d capable graphics card for that to work. I don't think having the glasses on a normal screen would work.. would they?

I just think it's not very applicable. 3D made me feel dizzy and gave me a headache, I'd never watch 3D videos on YouTube, plus as you mentioned Johny, it'd be hard to make that a platform that everybody could uniformly watch. Well, if it is going to be available in youtube I'm pretty sure that they are going to have options like "3d version" and "regular or non 3d version". I'm not sure if there is such thing though. I mean to get videos in none 3d if it were made as 3d.
Youtube is the best stereocopic player to watching videos in 3d if you go to this video you will be notice at there dropbox includes some option about a magical 3d experiance on youtube.
There are some videos on youtube which people have uploaded already in 3D. You just need to have 3D glasses + 3D screen. Or just the new LCD which doesn't require glasses.
THAT'S AWESOME ,,
