I have been having computer problems a lot lately and my friend sent me this article he saw in PC MAG on LiveTech:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2372447,00.asp

I was thinking it might be a good option for me but It's a little pricey so I wanted to know if anyone had any feedback first. anyone else uses this service or one like it?
Any shared experiences or recommendations would be appreciated. thanks

From reading the accompanying article on the site it looks to be a bit more expensive than other similar schemes.

The basic subscription costs $239 for one PC and one year of coverage. Note, though, that this covers unlimited time and unlimited service calls.

But, at least there is no limit to how many calls you can make, or how much time they take up.

And, this is quite a good thing -

If they can't solve the problem, said Hicks, they'll refund your subscription fee.

I suppose if your computer is prone to problems, and/or, you are already having to pay for repairs or just advice, it could be a good thing. Certainly from the peace of mind angle it looks good.

Thing is that with a couple of years payments you could probably buy yourself a new computer, so how cost-effective is it? It'd be interesting to hear from anyone else who uses this scheme.
