Carbon credits are like certificates that represent a reduction of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Projects that prevent the generation of greenhouse gases or remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere earn these credits which can, in turn then be sold to other businesses and individuals to offset the emissions they generate.
One carbon credit is the equivalent to a saving of one tonne of carbon dioxide (CO2).
Our current proposed project. ( To Be confirmed by Oct 2010)
Generating Carbon Credit by planting trees;
Generating Carbon Credits by stopping logging and saving the rain forests.
The following will outline our project to provide carbon credits to offset CO2 emissions.
We have carbon credits available to be purchased for any current carbon credit needs. As well, we have access to tree planting projects at various stages which can provide current and ongoing carbon credits.
Our offer is unique as we are past the concept phase of our project and are at the point of having actual carbon credits approved and ongoing annual carbon credits available.
There are a number of advantages of investing in a carbon sequestering project. There are significant cost savings.
As well you are guaranteeing that you have carbon credits in the future and at a current price point.
The price of carbon credits will continue to escalate as market demand increases.
Generating Carbon Credit by planting trees by stopping logging and saving the rain forests.
According to the Kyoto accord, the activity of tree planting is qualified to sequester carbon thus being able to reduce the total quantity of CO2 in the atmosphere.
Our projects will be certified according to the standards of the Kyoto protocol. This ensures a high level of quality and standards for all of our projects.
What Evidence Supports, The Potential Size of This Market ?
President Obama has included €646 billion in revenue in his budget from carbon sales between 2012 and 2019.
Certified emissions reductions, which are credits derived from Kyoto programs, have risen 47% in the past month from €7.50 to €11.00. Prices for European credits, called EU Allowances, have gone from €8.00 to €13.00, a 63% rise in the same amount of time.
President Obama has proposed that companies must buy carbon credits worth one ton each at a price between €13 and €30 if they go over their established carbon cap level.
After just one week into the Obama Presidency major utilities became extremely concerned about the energy and environmental rules ahead. That's good financial news for us because it will cost them billions to keep under the clean energy mandates and pollution limitations. And every dollar they spend on renewable energy, emission reduction and related infrastructure boosts your bank account.

Sorry, But the whole carbon credit/cap and trade thing is the biggest scam of all, along with the mass media brainwashing about "global warning".
Ever hear of Climate Gate? This whole thing is a ruse, a cover, for a much more sinister agenda, and billions are scheduled to be made for Al Gore, and his embarassed clan.
"Sullivan also held various leadership roles at BP, including Chief Executive and Head of Global Strategy at BP Alternative Energy"
Oh yeah, that's really impressive. NOT.
BP, one of the most disgusting, lying, toxic companies on the planet? With their long known totally phoney "alternative energy" cover story" ?
Ok, sure. yeah.
Tell him to get over to the Gulf and tell his cronies to stop lying to the American People about the planet damaging catastophe that "green" company BP just dumped in our oceans, and then sprayed more toxins to cover for it.
Oh, how quickly we forget, huh?
Google Climate Gate, and find out about the lying disgraced "scientists" who were part of the cover up and manipulation of world opinion, to move their scam forward.
Find out how the environnmental movement has been coopted by corporations and special interests with agenda's far more sinister and currupt than most people could ever imagine, all in the name of "the environment".
Find out about how they are lying to us about "global warming" covering up their lies by changing it to "climate change", meanwhile covering for the most toxic real poisons and the corporations that spew them.
BP, oh yeah.
Really impressive.
I am amazed they are not all in jail right now.
Sorry, but people need to wake up.

Great post David! The reason this "global warming" farce has any legs at all is because there are billions of dollars to be made out there.

i am on that with you mate, but look...if you wish or not in nearest future you will get a bill with extra line ECO TAX.... and.. of course you will pay for it, and true... most of it will end in BP`s and Buffet`s and Gore`s pocket. So what can you do here?? boycott BP, Buffet...?? Nope mate... this train is already far far away and you will not catch him anymore. On the other side more and more people are thinking "green", not because of BP, neither Buffet nor anyone else, but simply because it is logical that continuing this way we will soon have to buy Oxygen from BP instead of gasoline.... Yes.. from BP because they will turn over when needed and there is nothing we can do. So carbon credits are here... weather you like it or not, remains only decision to be in this game or not rather than judging multi billion companies. for us they are untouchable and it will remain that way!
maybe at the end just one question.. why are we still driving cars with internal combustion?? Is that our choice??
The Project’s work was largely concluded in Oslo in May 2010 when over fifty Governments launched the R.E.D.D.+ Partnership. The PRP maintains a watching brief as Governments and NGOs take the process forward. However, we continue to work with the public, private and NGO sectors to ensure that agriculture and its relationship with deforestation is maintained as a focus during the implementation of the Partnership Agreement.
The PRP is now part of The Prince’s Charities’ International Sustainability Unit, a programme of work to help build consensus on how to develop durable solutions which will underpin the mechanisms required to meet the challenges of climate change and natural resource depletion.
Don't miss oportunity to be a part of that!

A litle update about the industy... Indonesia project boosts global forest CO2 market
Indonesia project ......(source Reuters)
QUOTE
* Likely to be first fully validated REDD project under VCS
* Approval of methodology boost for REDD projects
By David Fogarty and Sunanda Creagh
SINGAPORE/JAKARTA, Aug 24 (Reuters) - An Indonesian project aimed at saving a vast tract of rainforest has past a milestone seen as a boost in the development of a global market in forest carbon credits.
That market under the U.N.-backed scheme reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD) could eventually be worth billions of dollars annually and is central to the goal of driving private sector involvement in forest protection.
The Rimba Raya conservation project covers nearly 100,000 ha (250,000 acres) of carbon-rich peat swamp forest in the province of Central Kalimantan on Borneo island. Forests soak up large amounts of carbon dioxide and scientists say curbing deforestation is a key way to fight climate change.
The project has earned the first-ever approval of an accounting method for measuring the reduction in carbon emissions under REDD and is being developed by InfiniteEARTH, with funding from Shell (RDSa.L), Gazprom Market and Trading (GAZP.MM) and the Clinton Foundation.
The Voluntary Carbon Standard programme, the most respected standard for voluntary carbon offsets, approved the methodology after it passed a mandated double auditing process.
The project itself is now undergoing third-party validation and is likely to become the world's first VCS-approved REDD project later this year, Gazprom and InfiniteEARTH say.
The step is a boost for other REDD projects and investors wanting certainty on the quality of REDD carbon credits. There are several dozen REDD projects globally, including more than a dozen in Indonesia at various stages of development.
"This is seen as a landmark moment for the carbon market," Gazprom said in a statement. "Historically REDD projects have suffered due to their exclusion from the Kyoto Protocol," it said, as well as the absence of a recognised global standard.
The project is expected to reduce 18.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from being emitted in the first 10 years and up to 75 million tonnes in the 30-year life of the project.
At about $10 a credit, that means about $750 million over 30 years.
LIVELIHOODS
The future sale of carbon offsets from the project will help boost the livelihoods of more than 11,000 people in the area and save rare species including orang-utans and other primates, the statement says.
REDD aims to reward developing countries that save, protect and rehabilitate forests through large-scale projects. Poorer nations and local forest communities are meant to take a major share of the sale of the carbon credits to rich nations, which can use them to meet mandated emission reduction targets.
REDD is not yet formally part of a broader U.N. climate pact and potential buyers of the credits have been waiting for an approved global standard for forest CO2 credits to ensure the reductions are real and verifiable.
"The methodology was designed for conservation projects that avoid planned land-use conversion in tropical peat swamp forests in Southeast Asia," the statement said.
The project itself borders Tanjung Puting national park and the area has been under growing threat from encroaching palm oil plantations.
"It shows small-scale REDD can be done. This is also demonstrating the ability of project-based activities, that they can do that," Daniel Murdiyarso, senior scientist at Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), told Reuters on Tuesday. (Editing by Sue Thomas)

I have to question your reasoning here!
The war machine, the prison industrial comples, the pharmaceutical/toxic drug industry, porn, etc. are also billion $ big business, you can make a lot money there, but I'll pass, thanks.
Do you know that BP is still spraying "core exit" on the gulf? Do you know what happened to that oil? Yep, on the bottom of the ocean.
Ask your BP guy, you know the "environmental" one you mentioned, about that. Ask him the REAL reason for "core exit", if he even knows.
Here, it needs to be understood that the "green" movement has been totally hijacked for special interests and profit, in the name of "the environment".
People need to wake up from their fraud, meant to enslave people, not protect them.
This is MUCH more serious than people know. They are using the environmental movement to forward horrific and evil agenda's that are the opposite of what is good for the planet and good for the people.
If we feed their scam, it will only grow it stronger.
They are not doing this to protect the planet, it is farce, a lie, a deception. Period.
Al Gore and his totally disgraced cronies (search for Climate Gate, and see how they are lying and manipulating public opinion) stand to make billions on this fraud.
I'll post some links when I can which clearly explain the TRUTH of this cap and trade scam they are pulling, and what their real agenda's are.
But there's tons of information on it all over the place.
We cannot sacrifice truth and goodness for money, no matter the cost.
This is about more control over people's lives, moving forward with plans that most people are not aware of, and wouldn't believe if they were told.
This cap and trade, based on fake, manipulated Global Warning "science", is not what it seems.
Educate yourself.

There is a LOT of information out there showing that the whole carbon trading scheme is a scam, and that the information we were fed from the so called "climate scientists" was full of lies, manipulations and orchestrated deception, meant to further other agenda's, in the guise of "protecting the environment" etc.
So, there is a LOT of questions about if this is good for us, or a total fraud, meant to benefit the corporations that are destroying our planet, while fooling the people to enter into a very very bad deal for everyone.
I knew a few years ago when both Obama and McCain were both behind this Carbon Trading Scheme that there was a lot more behind this than we were being told.
Isn't carbon what we breath out, and what plants breath in?
I'm no scientist, and I do not claim to understand all the factors involved, but something is definitely wrong here.
It's good not to take things at face value, and to look a little deeper.
It just seems like something is very wrong/unclear/not upfront about the story we are being fed here by the powers that be about their "carbon trading" program.
Who is going to make the billions here?
How is this really going to effect people's lives?
Could it possibly be that there are other, completely hidden agenda's here?
Wouldn't be the first time!
In this era of mass mind control and media deception, turning on our brains is always a good idea.

A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER - TO ECO BONUSES
QUOTE
CCN will be changing the Term 'Forestry Bonuses' to 'ECO Bonuses' and 'Forestry Credits' to 'ECO Credits'.
This change is being made to reflect the fact that CCN are working with partners CCF and are also implementing other green and ECO friendly initiatives that will generate large bonuses from all company sales and activates for members.
This change in terms will be carried throughout the CCN Website, Members Area and in all presentations throughout the coming days. We kindly ask that all members please make a conscious effort from this point on to refer to Forestry Bonuses now as ECO Bonuses.
In addition to this the following changes are also being implemented over the coming days that are designed to further assist our existing CCN Members in building a long term income with CCN.
1. Anyone that decides on the option of exchanging IMO Carbon
Credits to ECO Credits to earn ECO bonuses will not be required to maintain the €40 or 30points per month to earn ECO bonuses from all company sales.. However to earn MLM commissions you will still need to maintain the monthly purchase of €40 or 30points per month.
2. ECO Bonuses are paid in perpetuity and there is no expiry date on earning ECO Bonuses.
3. When purchasing 30 IMO Credits this will result in 30 points which will go towards monthly maintenance requirements for the month allowing people to be qualified for all CCN Bonuses. Note: if a person purchases 300 IMO Credits they will be awarded with 10 Maintenance Credits to use towards fulfilling monthly maintenance requirements and being eligible to earn all CCN Bonuses.
So in conclusion, take full advantage of the ability to create a passive residual income for yourself through participating in the CCN ECO Bonus program.
Yours in Success

It is expected that full Ezybonds integration to the CCN Shopping Cart will be finalised within the coming 2 weeks. Debit Card Progress We apologise for the delays in the announcing of the official launch of the CCN Debit MasterCard program. We are still waiting on the final confirmation from Ezybonds on the use of this platform over other platforms that are being now put forward as an option for faster and more affordable processing. We will be able to make an official announcement on this by late next week it is expected. Certificates for Carbon Credits Due to the concentrated effort on implementing payment systems the delivery of our certification process has fallen behind. We have been informed by our IT Department that they are committed to ensuring that by close of business Friday 8th of April, CCN members will be able to access the new RIMBA Conservation Mapping system and elect to forward redeem any Carbon Credits that they have purchased. Maintenance Postponed till May 1st Given that members can now pay with their Credit Cards and will also have several other options to remit funds to CCN our monthly maintenance program will be implemented during the month of May. Thereby all members will need to ensure that during the month of May and every month thereafter they have purchased additional Carbon Credits or even made sales to qualify for Multi-Match and Matching bonuses.

In the coming weeks the CCN Team are working on the further development of this Carbon Footprint Calculator. We will also be developing a calculator for small businesses to use to be able to work out how much carbon they create and should be offsetting. This will be a great tool for all CCN Members to use when promoting to business people. The CCN Carbon Footprint Calculator will also be a major focus in the CCN new corporate retail website being developed.
OVER THE COMING WEEKS there are going to be a number of announcements and latest news releases so be sure to stay active and regularly log into your CCN Member’s Area. If you have not done so already, we also encourage you to join the CCN Blog site -http://carboncentralnetwork.ning.com. Towah Payment Processing
TOWAH – www.towah.com is a very popular payment provider with a large customer base in northern Europe.
CCN will be able to fully accept payments from Towah account holders as of this coming Friday the 3rdof June. Towah Account holders will also be able to load their CCN Cash Account using Towah as well as withdraw commission to their separate Towah account.
Debit Card Progress
We continue to apologise for the delays in the announcing of the official launch of the CCN Debit MasterCard program. The delays are with the Card Issuer and not with us directly. This is not however a reason for alarm as you can still be paid into your choice of local bank account, Towah, or an AlertPay account.
We are still waiting on the final confirmation on the issue of our first batch of 500 MasterCards, as soon as we have the details we will be announcing it. So fingers crossed that we can do this in coming weeks.
Redeeming Certificates for Carbon Credits
CCN members are now able to access the new RIMBA Conservation Mapping system and elect to forward redeem any Carbon Credits that they have purchased. Please note that you can only redeem all the carbon credits you have allocated to purchase order at this point in time.
In the coming weeks we will be implementing an upgrade to our software that will allow people to redeem partially the carbon credits listed in their purchase orders.
To REDEEM credits log into your member’s area select the Carbon Credits tab and then click on Carbon Credit Account. From here you need to click on the Check Details for either Package Carbon Credits or IMO Credits Exchangeable. Then click on the REDEEM CREDITS button at the bottom of the table shown, you will be taken to a new screen showing your details. You can either to elect to Redeem (Forward Retire) the credits in your name or you can assign them to another person or even entity. Once finalised, you can then print out a CCN Project Carbon Credit Certificate.
If you have any difficulties with this process please email support@carboncentralnetwork.com, but it is really quite straight forward.
More Languages to GO LIVE in JUNE
Once again, we would like to give a BIG THANKS to all those assisting us with Language Translations for the CCN website. On the 20thof June we launched Italian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Croatian, and French.
In the coming 10-15 days CCN will be launching, Portuguese, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, and Serbian.

Commission Calculation Dates for June

We still plan to be able to run a daily bonus run for our Multi-Match bonuses starting in late June.

Thanks Megaplex for opening up my eyes to the atrocities being committed with the annihilation of our rain Forest and the disastrous effect it is having on our planet earth. I have read some toxic posts earlier against carbon trading and and what I would say is we cannot cut off our nose to teach our face a lesson,,,if Al Gore, Buffet and BP et al will earn mega bucks from the carbon trading concept, is it not a good trade off to kick start the awareness of harm that's being done? The writer wrote that global warning is being overstated, has he seen what is taking place in iceland, the rapid melting of snow caps and icebergs?
Closer home to me being a Caribbean man, have you not seen there are more violent hurricanes in the past decade due to increased sea surface temperatures that fuel these natural phenomena? Even in the USA this year there were two killer tornadoes...GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL MY FRIEND and I am willing any day for the above mentioned persons to benefit as long as we start taking steps preserve our planet for generations after us.
CCN has been running a thread in the benefactor section which would like to carry on the activity here in this thread from now on.
The idea of this thread is to inform update and envigorate.
We are about the regreening of the Forests and people's pockets.
So far we have given away over UD$1200.00 to active members here at MMG.

Funny thing happened over the weekend, my best friend was celebrating his birthday and invited a few of us to attend the party in the country and I did not hesitate to attend because I enjoy the clean country air as opposed to where I live in Montego Bay which is more industrialized and the stench of motor vehicle and factory exhaust fumes contaminates the quality of air. Though the party was on Saturday I went up the Friday evening so as to be well rested to assist in anyway I can with preparations on party day.
I woke up the Saturday morning and the smell of smoke filled the morning air, though I am accustomed to polluted air in the city but not as obnoxious, no not here, not in deep rural Jamaica. When I inquired what was going on as in the back of my brain I thought that maybe someone's home may have been on fire but no, to my surprise my buddy told me that a thriving charcoal business was taking place. Though not familiar with the process I know they build kilns in the earth and slow burn the wood from trees to make what we in Jamaica call "fire coal" used for cooking and grilling.
After being introduced to CCN just over a week ago and having starting to read and understand what deforestation will do to the planet, curiosity got the better of me, so after completing my chores I asked a lad in the area to show me where the charcoal was being burnt, lo and behold I got a first hand view of how trees are being savagely destroyed. The long and short of my experience is that I inquired of the persons manning the kilns if they were going to replant the trees they have destroyed and one had the gall to ask me "at whose expense?". After some short sharp exchange between myself and them, they labelled me an environmentalist informer and if I had confronted them under different circumstances I would be given a fine beating (I am guessing if I had gone there alone without the young guy from the district)...can you imagine?

Articles written by Dr. Michael Dutschke
Forestry, risk and climate policy (2010) Dutschke, Michael
i tried to copy the summary of the book, but its not working,
here are some lines i picked from the book maybe useful for readers;
The book concludes the forestry as a means of mitigating climate change is special compared to other sectors, and that environmental risks in striking the balance between environmental effectiveness, cost efficiency and equity are posing important challenges.
