Nope Ive been turned down many times.
There are a few good sites that can help you. just do a google search to find it. Even a look at Adsense Policy page should help.
I think the most important thing is content. Your site shouldn't be just a linkfarm. There needs to be relevant topics, articles, and information. The more, the better.
Not an easy one to get approval. Try harder and I have been trying still
I'm glad I was approved 2 or 3 years ago
Well it all depends upon the content of your website. If it provides good use, you will be accepted. If you think the site is garbage, then it most likely won't be accepted. At least they allow you to keep on apply.. so keep on trying
bonjour, I have a very informative site that I've put up, however I was still rejected. One reason they gave me is that one of the links I've placed in an article written by a friend of mine is one that they don't allow. So it sucks on my part since I didn't know. If I had known that it's not allowed, I wouldn't have placed that and I would've been approved.
I hear that it takes at least six months to get your account approved by Adsense. In the past we are suggested to create a blog on Blogger to apply for an Adsense account, and it would usually do the trick.

If that's the case the time period has increased dramatically since I first got an adsense account.
Yes Realist, if that's the case. Two years ago, I created a blog using Blogger to apply for an Adsense account, and it took almost instantly to get it approved. On the first hours they displayed PSA on my blog before delivered the "real ads".
From my experience it doesn't take long to get an adsense account approved, however it pays to read their terms before submitting the url.
mine got approved in like 6-8 hours, I just tried to continue writing blogs and making it as spiffy as possible, while I was waiting. I dont know if thats a factor aha.
