Hey, there.

Who could tell me please, have I done something wrong if I have copied the image from google images and added in my website? is it against a law?
And one more question. Is it wrong if I have copied an article from ezinearticle.com to my website.

I amjust new in this whole internet marketing business, so that's why I have these questions.

Thanks.

As far as copying an image from Google images you are not suppose to do that. But for the EzineArticles.com thing you can put an article on your site as long as the article owner gives permission to do so and you give proper credit to the author on your site.

Don't copy images from Google just like that! You could get yourself into real trouble if you break copyright law. Always use link to the source of the image this way you can at least partially protect yourself. If you need to find images for your website then you can use public domain to look for images that are copyright free.

It's ok to use articles from ezine articles site. You need to keep all the links that author creted intact. But using these types of articles is not that good for your site from SEO view point. It's duplicate content! Try to come up with your own articles and if you can get started then use articles from ezine as jump start to get you going. But DO NOT copy or plagiarise.

Hey Man I feel your pain.

Its so tempting just to take these images and put them on your site. I made the mistake of paying for images from istick and other photography databases which cost me alot. Instead you can search for photos for commerical use in google images. Which are ok to take but the variety is not good. Instead go to Flickr creative commons just type it in google and you will find millions of photos that you can use. Just make sure that you reference them to the original author.

Peace,

J

I am aware of google advertising ad sense. I looked at them with my blogging early in my career. I heard they are pretty sensitive with their rules and regulations. Any opinions? Thanks.

If you use ANYTHING off the internet that does not belong to you i.e you wrote it or designed it, then you have to ask permission or at the very least post an acknowledgement link to the page where you found it.

Google supplies all imags whether royalty based or not. But you have to check the source of the image if it is royalty based or free to use image. If it's free, no problem for you. Else you have to pay the royalty fees and then only can you use it.

It relies on the content content owner setting the license on every image. which many people might know how to do or take the time to do.

Google images is not a safe place to get images and copy them to your blog or site because most of the images are copyright protected and most of the companies are licensed for their images so its not good to use these images without permission.

As per copyrighted law you're not allowed to put images in your website, if that image has a copyright to any others. And you're not allowed to copy from any content from any website, if you do that you will get a penality from google.

Ezinearticles allow user to copy the articles but if you their rules, I mean they've some specific steps to copy article to your website. However, copying article from a source to your is called spaming, however this is allowed by article directories, but google don't allow your article link to index in more top ranking. Only unique fresh new contents have values for search engine.

Another thing you've copied image from a google images. Google image actually find images from websites online. So, before copying any image from Google image make sure that the website is allowing images to copied to yours site or not. There are some website which allow to copy images for free. But you should check the rules of the website.

Yes, it is against the law to do that WITHOUT their permission. You can't just take things from people and think it's okay, for some people what they do is 2 things, they either just edit the picture with their own likings or they would upload it on photobucket or tinypic just so the destination URL is different, well that's just how they do it on the WF. No problem bro, I completely understand where you're coming from. We all want to be ethical at all times. Never interfere with yourself with the law man.

Hopes it helps you man.

Permission is important but I know there are lots of place where free copyright pictures, available there is a possibility that found image on google could be free copyright. Nowadays photography is too much commercialized it's hard to get free copyright images. I think you can get a licenced image for as low as $1 from stock photos.
