I need some advice from my friends here at MMG. My blog was just suspended by wordpress because I violated their TOS. My blog was mainly about hyips and how to make money online. Has anyone had this same experience? With whom should I host my next blog with? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Greg. I was really impressed today when i tried to acces your blog and i saw that is closed/suspended. You are in the same boat with me. The same was happened with my blog.
Suspended for violating TOS.
They don't accept blogs with moneymaking subject and affiliates link .

Open a new blog using blogspot.

Greg, sorry to hear about your problems. Have you considered paid hosting for the blog? Also as an alternative until you get things going you could guest-post on my blog. I've always enjoyed your insights.

Let me know.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am moving to blogspot and I will have my first post tonight. I will have to restrain myself from bashing wordpress too much. diablo.gif

At this point, i did read the TOS of wordpress and they do not allow blogs with affiliate links. I have read the TOS of blogspot and they do not exclude affiliate marketing. Blogspot's TOS is much broader than wordpress.

Hello, I have a question, does blogger allow advertisement links in your blog? You know like the backlink to your affiliate program? Because I'm not sure, I know that wordpress doesn't allow.
masallade
I recently read that Wordpress will delete your blog if you have advertisements on it, With blogger I believe if its google relate your fine, because google owns blogger. But if you want to use the wordpress backoffice and never be deleted again it is best to get a hosting account with bluehost or another provider, its really cheap to get an account, and since your on your own server, wordpress can control your blog. Also you get alot of plugins for free! Its awesome thats how my designer Kayacreativedesigns.com, did mine and I thank her for it. But alot of people don't know this.

Hope this helps!

i think it's better go to blogger.com and make there new blog than import info from the old blog if you have it. Regrets if your blog suspected.

That really stinks - what a big disappointment after all that effort you put in. I will take your lesson into my blog since I am in wordpress too. maybe I should look for a new home

I would go with self hosting so this can never happen to you again. If you backed up your WP posts you could import them into your self hosted WP blog.

I have used Hostgator for years and this allows multiple domains and subdomains so I host about 30 sites and blogs through the one subscription. Costs are very reasonable and self hosted blogs tend to get indexed better by the search engines.

One thing to look for in a host is whether they have automatic installation of Wordpress and other programs so that you do not need to worry about configuring them yourself. Look for a host that offers Fantastico to do this. Fantastico is built into the Hostgator control panel.

Ooops! I was wrong.

In fact from what I've seen so far, Google's been very lenient as to what type of Contents they allow.

Google Blogger is free and very good for anyone starting in blogging.

In time you could move on to WordPress which has a free version (.com) or one where you need to pay for hosting (.org)
carlmarl
If you go to www.blogger.com you can create a blog very quickly. You will need to create a Google account but that should not take you too long.
WorkWithMorgan
this can easily happen when you blog on a free platform that may not appreciate your messages and content.

I blog for a living and I hate to see people's blogs taken down over nonsense.

Try free blog at webs.com. First you subscribe for a free website and then you can get a blog at this site. I`ve had free websites at webs.com for years with such topics as forex and autosurfs and they never were suspended while I had nearly all my blog at blogger.com suspended.

This is what I use, as well... so far no problems... knock on wood. cool.gif

I don't recommend blogger.
My blog just got deleted it was called: whatspayingnow.blogspot.com

they have the same kind of TOS
which I didn't realize.

i guess the increase in traffic to my blog flagged them and/or someone turned me in
and bammm!!

all gone, everything.
So, NO to Blogger!!!

some people get away with it, I noticed some here on MMG for longer than 5 years,
I don't know why they found mine so fast
I only had my blog up for less than 4 months.

Check out Weebly see if their TOS is the same....

I know the feeling.
sickening for sure.

Good luck.
What I do now is I'm building a list instead.
Created a splash page.
Real simple one.

Utilize the credits in all the ad share programs I am in and so far got 5 sign ups in a week.
Then I can email this list about the programs I am in.
I think I am heading in the right direction.
This is the first time I am doing this and it's super exciting to see people getting into my list.

Good luck!!!

Word press has strict rule of blogging.. try blog spot it doesn't have so much restriction...

I highly suggest hosting your own site. It's not worth it to have your site be deleted at their will. In the long run your site can be worth a lot and can sell it, you can't do that with a subdomain Wordpress site or a Blogspot blog.

Just my 2 cents.

Yes, because you went against the TOS (Term of Service) of WordPress. WordPress don't allow their blogging to use it for earning I think. Did you post any duplicate content, it's main reason of suspension of WordPress blog.

I think you may try other blogging platform, and Blogger.com is the best blogging website that I've ever use. Try it, and I'm sure you'll love it.

Or use you own self-hosted blog, where you'll freedom to post anything you want but not against the TOS of hosting provider.

I hope this will help.

Thanks
caldmoore
So if I have hostgator but running WP from there I am ok? I saw the earlier posts but just got confused. I am new to this if it isn't obvious, so thanks for your patience.
smithbrayden52
duplicate content and affiliate advertising promotions can be reason for ban..i suggest you to use blogger its amazing

Same thing happened to me with my "make money online" WordPress blog! Spent all day making it just to all be taken down the next day, nice!! thumbup(1).gif

I also have a "make money online" Blogspot blog which I had well before WordPress and its still live and kicking, but getting mixed feelings now by the comments here! unsure.gif

Is there any other other blogs out there to promote your money making site, or do you quite simply just have to pay hosting to avoid the risk of it being taken down?

Why mixed fillings due slow and less features on blogger.com, So, to get the speed with unlimited features in blogging better I suggest you to buy a hosting and a self-hosted Wordpress CMS and enjoy blogging peace.gif

TOS of Wordpress don't allow you to do such things. Empower Network though? Doesn't have that problem, AND we get paid to blog (basically). HAving a ton of fun and make money smile.gif
