Does Google Adsense really work? I ask because I read online that the day people could start receiving payments that Google suspended their account because of suspected clicking fraud (although they weren't doing it).

Does it really work?
realist
Adsense is the most popular of all the advertising programs, so yes it does work.

Whether webmasters can make as much out of it as they did in the past I'm not so sure. I've seen a number of people claiming their earnings from Adsense have reduced over time.

The problem with adsense is that it's well recognized now, you know it's a google ad and the newer tech-savy gen of people browsing the web know not to click on them.

Google adsense does work. I've been using it for months. I did not experience any problem on it, and it gives great amount of money of course.

In the past, it's really work but for now the income is decreasing due to improved google adsense system and also these days the people know that they are advertisements so they aren't going to click on them.

Asense should generally be viewed as an additional income rather than the main way to make money online, unless you are making purely for Adsense sites ie micro niche sites
As a general rule adding a couple of Adsense banners to a site which is fundamentally designed for something else is a good thing but trying to make money from Adsense alone requires indepth research into a niche, site building, on and off page seo and many other things to make money.

Sorry about the double post, I don't know what happened and I can't remove it. If a mod could be so good. Many thanks.

It does work but you need a big budget and the right conversions to make it profitable.

Yes - Adsense works. smile.gif

The key is to provide lots of quality content and add this regularly to attract recurring visitors.

There is no doubt that AdSense works and you can earn good money, you just have to learn how AdSense works, to work hard to learn from mistakes and to work and money will not delay to appear.
brada7x
Most of the guys banking a few thousand and beyond per month using Adsense have anywhere from 50 to 100+ sites running adsense. Target micro-niches, do proper keyword research and get your sites ranked up for a lot of terms and Adsense can pay a pretty penny.
Rhyker
Adsense works ... do you? And do you have the skills to make it work for you? that's where most people fail.

I really knocked adsense in the beginning, what I didn't take into account is that you have to do alot of tweaking to make it work, and I use it right along side affiliate ads.

I thought I would just slap up some adsense blocks and people would click, but you have to blend it into your content. I also added a link unit under my headers. (it looks like a menu)

I still prefer affiliate programs, but if I can get $1.50 for just a click, that's fine by me.

I'm not making alot with any one site, but if I can replicate it with 15 sites or more sites, that would be great.

But if the clicks are only worth 10 cents, I blend my affilliate ads into the content.

Every sites different.

Going into adsense business model work and it will continue to work but the major thing involved here is traffic. For you to enjoy your adsense business it required a lot of traffic and is the key. I can even show you a way you can be accepted into adsense business without having a website or blog. Check it

I agree, adsense can be extremely profitable however it takes time and effort, two factors a lot of people on the web today don't value.

It's simply a matter of the amount of qualified traffic visiting your website which will result in a high CTP, I have personally had sites in the past with over 20% CTP with clicks ranging from 20c to a few bucks (which is the age old trick).

Done right and if you actually value your visitors and provide them with answers and quality information rather than just treat them as spam fodder then you will do well.

Also don't assume that everyone is adsense savvy, the amount of internet users who are oblivious to what is a google add or what is a genuine link are larger than what most people think, google generate the majority of their profits through the adword/adsense business model.

Love or loathe it, I don't think any similar arrangement matches the income that webmasters can achieve from having Adsense on a site.

As MD says, Adwords and Adsense are a real golden goose for the big 'G.'

Hi friends

What is CTP is it the same as CTR in adwords ?

Thanks

It does work base from the many stories I've read and with a personal testimonial from an acquaintance, but I've yet to test it out for myself. Eitherway, I can tell that it does work. The question then would be "Will it work for you?"

That ultimately will depend on your execution and I couldn't agree more with mpw45233, every site's different of course. Some may work for adsense, some may not.

Diversify, don't put your eggs in only one basket.

Having those accounts suspended or completely shutted down because of click fraud is actually a good thing. There is that saying that there are no shortcuts in life and that is true even with search engines. Everything should always be done the right way, maybe sometimes not the same ways as the others but as long as it is the right way, it is going to pay off better.

I remember being impatient with earning through adsense as it took quite a few months before the money started to get in. but for a lot of things in the web, patience and hard work is really needed.

Yes it has been proven that adsense works, but the problem is that many people are starting to recognize the Adsense ad style and those folks usually avoid clicking on the ads as much they used to. I have gotten a higher click-thru rate so far from infolinks...only problem is the pay is oftentimes lower than Adsense. I guess you have to do a lot of tests in order to find out how to get Adsense to work for you.

It Works!!! Yes it does but earning with adsense in not easy as easy it seems but you can earn good amount with them if you research about adsesene before putting into your website and choosing your cms or forum and any other website. Blogger is good starting point for new adsenser. It doesn't really matters whether your visitor will know it is a ad or not most of the time because google ads shows up related ad with the content of the page. I am a webmaster and I use adsense and whenever I am on someone else's website or blog if I see any interesting post I click it. Blending the ad with website has both positive and negative effects some new users click on it who doesn't know its ad and lots most of visitor miss it and ignores it, I am with adsense over 5+ years I have highlighted ads on my blog and it works for me.

The entire Google advertising model is a great example how you can make more money by investing first. You need some serious doe to leverage all those clicks though.

And diversify? Please do not. FOCUS! All success stories have one thing in common ... they had laser focus.
brokenblade
From what I hear, adsense works, but they are really trigger happy with going deleting accounts.
dazzy
It does but not for everyone. Google has been implementing strict rules because cheaters are coming for everywhere already. My suggestion is to keep everything clean. Only provide targeted visitors for your site and build backlinks manually to ensure that they come from decent websites.

My 2 cents,
Dazzy

I never did great with Adsense -- but I did ok around 2 years ago. I invested last year in a wordpress plugin that got content from Yahoo Boss and did around $0.50 --$1.00/ day with about 10 sites. Nothing earth shattering plus successive Google updates made earnings very erratic. Saw a bump over Xmas though. If I were to really get serious about Adsense -- I would build out an authority site or two. But there are people still making $1000s monthly throwing up word press sites with automated content. But they are just one hair trigger away from being banned from Adsense or having their sites de-indexed IMHO
mypassion797
Yes, Google Adsense is the perfect way to earn by putting ads on your blog. The traffic is the main concern in earn with google adsense, and keyword focused contents make the visitor to click on the relevant ad shown by google ads. So, there is no shortcuts in writing keyword focused contents and traffic gaining. A well plan strategy can help to go well long with google adsense on your blog.

People ask other click on their blog ads which is really cheap usually a result of that account suspended.

yes it works..but google adsense are very srict with rules
whistler687
Google Adsense didn't really work out for me because didn't have enough traffic that they mentioned. I think there's lots of marketing is required to get enough traffic for adsense website. I think 2-3 years of marketing efforts at least required to start earning from adsense ads,

You can say that again, and every month they come out with yet another set of restrictions. I have known people get banned for absolutely nothing. They just woke up one morning and their account was blocked and all earnings forfeit and they don't even tell you why.

if you set google ads on your blog, then google adsense will work..
