I'll start off with one called 'Sexy Bookmarks'
QUOTE Though the name may be a little "edgy" for some, SexyBookmarks has proven time and time again to be an extremely useful and successful tool in getting your readers to actually submit your articles to numerous social bookmarking sites.
Our sole aim was to stray away from the "in the box" thinking behind most social bookmarking plugins, and add a little flair that would entice your readers, rather than deterring them with microscopic icons that get lost in pages heavy laden with content.
Hi
I like the stats plugin, Having a decorating business its real handy to know where my visits are coming from. yell.com, google, BT phone book where i advertise. Once it's running it'll begin collecting information about your pageviews, which posts and pages are the most popular, where your traffic is coming from, and what people click on when they leave. It'll also add a link to your dashboard which allows you to see all your stats on a single page. Less is more. Finally, because all of the processing and collection runs on our servers and not yours, it doesn't cause any additional load on your hosting account. In fact, it's one of the fastest stats system, hosted or not hosted, that you can use. Alzander
Alzander, that looks a very useful tool.
I have been using wordpress for the last 11 months and i am competely satisfied with its performance. My favorite wordpress plugins are as follows
* All in one SEO Pack * Akismet * NextGen Gallery * Broken Link checker, and many other.
I use All in one SEO pack it is for SEO. Related post to showsimilar post of another post.
I love the Com Luv plugin, it allows other bloggers to leave a short description
and link back to their last blog post. Plus if you register for the free com luv account, when you leave a comment on a blog with the com luv plugin, you can choose which post you wish to link back to. It lets you choose from your last 10 blog posts so you can choose which one is most relevant to the content of the blog you are leaving a comment on. There is also a search engine on com luv which means you can find related keyword blogs that have com luv installed too. Alex
I use wordpress site stats, and contact forum. Another great one is wordpress colums
And it's good to keep an eye out for upgrades to plugins too. Some of them seem to upgrade almost every week.
I am still looking for some more plugins to use, this topic could come in handy
Can't really say I have a favourite yet, but I do believe akismet is a must though!
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, but, I have a lot to share. I never used wordpress. However, I downloaded it about three days ago because I wanted to see what was the difference between it and Eblogger.
I will install it, create a blog with it, and share with you all about what I find. Wordpress seems to get a lot of good rep on the Internet. Cheers.
