Right now there is another glitch in the system. I don't believe that it is just my account. I had a flashing news and when I clicked on to it the news flashed on ALL messages going right back to December 15, 2010. Twelve messages in all. Any one else had to do that?

Oh is that so? lol What do you know about running a charity? Do you think that the rather large administrative numbers relative to the work involved with running a charity do it for free? For kicks maybe? The largest charitable organizations in the world are also some of the biggest scammers out there. While they throw numbers out at you like, "we raised 2.5 million last year for bypass research", the actual number would be more like 5.5 million.....but they gotta payout those salaries ya know? Some moron with a title like "Head of Operations" whose day consists of a few phone calls trying to get the cheapest price out of the owner of a banquet facility for his next "fundraising" event, hounding him until he finally gives in, and a few more phone calls to his "suppliers" of flowers, chair covers, and tablecloths (which he gets for free mind you) to make sure that all the colours match up, and everything is prim and proper in order to satisify his own need of feeling righteous. NEVER LEAVING THE COMFORT OF HIS CHAIR! That's worth about 150-200k a year.

Now none of this has anything to do with club asteria, but if you want to steer people towards making charitable donations, you should find out where the majority of the money goes first with some of these organizations. Down the toilet. Some of the organizations that you're steering people towards, are no better than some ponzi operator taking too much for himself and not leaving enough for the "investor".

You know, for months I've been thinking of coming to that other forum that you and a few others have made your headquarters at, to list a few organizations, including some govt organizations which can be proven to be scamming people out of their hard earned money. Congratulations! That is the point. That site lists charities and purports to investigate charities, but as always some due diligence is required by the client! Where does the money go that you give to Club Asteria? How do you know? Public charities MUST provide their form 990 (tax return) if requested. Club Asteria and these other "opportunities" don't provide squat...!

I trust that site as much as I trust some of the largest charitable organizations in North America whom I've worked with. So before you go off on another pm to me about me "not knowing how charities work", work with them yourself first, and then you can have a discussion with me about them. You post the link to that site, steering people towards it, and now you're saying that due diligence is still required by the client??? There's many things wrong with that, but I'll just point out one of them....."client"???? What client? One who donates to charitable causes is not and should never consider themselves a client! You should expect nothing in return when you give. Nothing. Not a tax receipt, not a pat on the back. Nothing. Then I would consider it charity.



I have no idea. I do however know where the money goes when you give it to some of those organizations that are listed on that site. The answer is in their pockets. They're businesses, not charities.



What on earth does that have anything to do with where the money goes when you donate it??? Charity A is in compliance with U.S. tax regulations while they squander half the money on themselves, so they're trustworthy, but Charity B who sends ALL the money where it should go because they DONATE their time and resources to the cause, and don't need 50% of the funds for operating costs should not be trusted. If this is the way you see it, then what can I say? The world you live in must be a different colour than mine. Take your blinders off and you may actually be able to see what colour this world really is, because it sure isn't as black and white as you deem it to be.
