Hi Pete,
Really it is not that hard to be happy. I think people try to hard to be happy when in all actuality happiness is just in front of them..
I almost lost my wife last year. She had been ill for over five years, through some surgery complications and things of that nature she came very close to dying. Last year was the hardest year of my life. I lost my house, my business and most of my worldly possessions...but I still have my wife my kids and my dog....so the other things done mean much to me. I can replace those, but my wife I cannot replace.
During that entire time, I did not want life to get me down and it didn't. I guess happiness can be found even in the worst of situations. The problem is, people expect everything to be gold and silver, homes and cars types of happiness, and I think that is where we lose it.
Enjoy the sky, enjoy a friend, enjoy a cup of tea, relax and just enjoy life and I think we would all be alot happier.
O.K. enough mushy gushy stuff...I ahould put this in my blog..
Thanks Pete,,,I am Happy without a doubt!!!

You are really listing the most important ingredients of happiness
Actually, happiness doesn't come from outside, it's the state of mind. It's your own desicion.
You must think (and thank) of what you have right now and not concentrate on those things you don't have.
The feeling of needing and wanting is what makes you unhappy.
Yesterday has gone, it's not yet tomorrow, so we only have this very moment. (And not actually even that because at the moment you think you are in "now" you already have passed it)
Glad that your wife is ok now!

Have to say the scull isn't very attractive if you want someone to follow you..
well, guess someone likeminded...
but to me the scull represents something poisonous, something not to touch...
you don't think that you accidentally - subconsciously - added that sign as an homen
I mean you must have powers within

OK, I understand. And I don't think the scull is so bad.
But... the contradiction between your avatar and the little puppy was humorous
I liked it.
Maybe my sense of humor is weird
