Has anyone emailed them lately about the lack of work? Just wondering. Seems they have been very quiet lately.

Per a message on the portal today, this is a no-no. LB is aware of the low task levels and this is just one of those times when raters have to grin and bear it. Imagine their inboxes filling up with pointless 'Where are the tasks?" emails when they obviously have much more pressing technical issues to address.

Mass panic emails are probably part of the reason why they have such a hard time addressing the important questions (sorting 1 meaningful technical question from hundreds of 'where's the work' emails.) Everyone needs to put on their Patience Hats and keep fingers crossed. smile.gif We are not supposed to be penalized for not meeting minimum hours when there is low task availability.

All I've seen in my queue for the last 2 weeks are Type 5s. Got into them today & I'm hoping there are enough of them to keep the hours flowing. Good luck to all. Don't worry, it will get better! Luckily the down times don't seem to last that long, a couple weeks at most. Soon enough we'll all have surplus in our queues again!

Edit: Spoke too soon... tried to acquire task, and I get redirected to the index. It's a vicious cycle. C'est la vie, I manged to get 7 done earlier, guess I'll go play outside in the sunshine since work isn't happening now.

I afraid you may have misunderstood the message on the portal. There is a separate reporting area for actual technical issues, and that is what they are saying is a no-no. A lack of tasks isn't a technical problem and should not be reported as such. At least they are acknowledging that there is a low task count at the moment. Years ago when there was a dry spell (a brief one) they sent an email out letting us know when to expect the volume to be picking up. That's all I was wondering - if anyone has asked LB about the shortage of tasks and if they have any idea when we can expect an increase. Again, this is not to be confused with a technical issue.

Ermm...maybe re-read the announcement. I disagree with your interpretation.

The title of the announcement, opening line, and closing all give respect to the issue of task availability and not the means by which many have thusfar reported low task availability. The technical issues reporting system was a brief one-time mention in the announcement and seems insignificant to the overall message. "...In the technical issue area," as they've written it, could just as easily be replaced with "via email" or even deleted entirely and the whole entire message makes sense.

If their issue were with an improper use of the technical issues reporting system and not with the issue of reporting low task availability, itself, then I'd say their alternate resolution would be along the lines of "email this address" or "use THIS reporting system." Instead, they merely dismiss the issue altogether and ask that we revisit at a later time. Again, this really speaks exclusively to the issue of low task availability.

So they put up a message saying that they know there is a lack of tasks and please don't report this in the Technical Issues area, and you are saying this is insignificant? To me, it sounds as if many people are in fact reporting the lack of tasks as a "technical problem" and they are requesting that it stops.

What they're saying is: don't report it at all. "Technical Issues area" is, yes, insignificant.

Hhmm, guess we just have our own interpretation of the message. There is a specific area for reporting technical issues - it's not done by sending an email. The person who first replied to me mention that maybe LB is getting overloaded in their inbox. All I'm saying is the technical issues area is different than sending an email (maybe you weren't aware of that) and in my opinion, that is what they are asking people NOT to do.
mastertuttelage
Technical issues not pertinent to individual tasks can be reported to an email address specified in the contacts pane of your portal. So, yes, it's done by email. (It is also done via reporting system.)

where is the point that in task 4 now i must at least 10% things look at on special page, as on main page is blank? do you all have this as some new thing?

I'm sorry, but I can't figure out what you're asking...

Im sorry that is task 3, instead of 7x7 full quadrant of tasks, i see only 50% of them, other i must open in a separate window... so time to make it is now far far longer.

I’m stuck on the new evaluation platform with the message “No tasks are available for acquisition” It is not jumping to the standard homepage as it used to do before.

After a decent day on Monday, tasks have been hit and miss yesterday and today....mostly miss. Wish this dry spell would turn into a downpour! unsure.gif

For Task 4, there was a XXX on the task page before. Now I have to open the link to look at the XXX. This increases the time I spend. Did any of you experience this?

I have - a couple of days ago. They were the only tasks available, so I just did them as is. I reported the issue as well. They didn't last long for me anyway.

Now I'm just getting type 5's that are taking almost 2x as long as they should. Ugh.

I was hoping to get a couple of hours in this AM also but now it's Noon and still NRT. I guess it's a sign to step away from the computer and get out there and enjoy the Holiday! wink.gif

Will just keep my fingers crossed that tomorrow will be a more productive day.

See, that's how I am very often. One of the things I hate about this job seems to be that I can sit in front of the computer and "work" for 7 or 8 hours yet come up with only 3 hours of actual work...

Anyway, I hope we find some more tasks in the queue after today's maintenance.

If you got in the 30 hours, then I would say yes you would get paid on the 10th. If you don't get 30 hours, I think you would have to wait. Check your invoice section. I had one generated today, so I am assuming the early payment is in effect.

If you have 30+ hours in, you get paid on or around the 10th. Less than 30 hours, you have to wait until the end of the month. It doesn't matter what the invoice date is, they seem to stick to the 30+ hours on the 10th / less than 30 hours on the 30th/31st formula. I am speaking about payment terms for the U.S., this may be different for other locales.

Also, if this is the first payment cycle you are in, you may have to wait 45+ days for your first payment. When I started in December 2009, my first payment didn't get to me until February. I know they have gotten better about this, meaning the first cycle time has shortened from 60 to 45 days or so, but it's worth checking the payment section of the portal to see what I mean.

Hope this helps!

Last night, I tried accessing the Time Sheet, and all I got was a blank white page. Trying again this morning, and the login page loads, but an authentication login box pops up, and it is not accepting either my Time Sheet login/password, nor my LB portal login info.

Anyone else having trouble accessing Time Sheet right now?

There is a message on the portal informing us of the scheduled downtime of the timesheet throughout the weekend. Scheduled to be back up on Sunday evening.
Makingmoremoney
From time to time, we need to check the portal for update. There is a notice for the offline of timesheet.

Another piece of news there is for "black belt". It is not imperative but would get bonus and less NRT once you pass the test. Read details at the portal.

That's what I thought when I saw the new message, that it was the same certification for those who didn't complete it the first time, or maybe for new raters that have come on board since then. I did the certification in May. If anyone who has done the first cert. a few months ago gets another cert process, can you post and let us know? I am just curious if this is a new one or the same one, would love confirmation for sure. smile.gif
