I'm a new Internet Assessor in China. Now I have two problems here. Is there anyone can give me a hand?
First, I cann't log into my Rater Portal with the username(LRP\Hailong Yan) and Password indicated in an email from Ray.GSS@lionbridge.com.
Second, I have a band account of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. My account contains 19 numbers(62**************291). But only 18 numbers are allowed to fill into the system. Like what the system shows, my Bank Account is 62**************29 and the last number,1 is in the blank named Reference. Also I don't know what Control Key and IBAN mean.
Thanks in advance for your kind help.
Try to type the username without any blank. HailongYan not Hailong Yan. And if your password is "aSdfG3", then type aSdfG3 not asdfg3 or ASDFG3. If it doesn't work, maybe you should email them. And your bank will tell you about their IBAN or SWIFT. Contact your local bank branch.

Thanks.

I'll send a email address to you. Rater portal is very important to our job. It has many useful meterials. I think your welcome e-mail explains about them. It would be better to read these information at the portal before you start to work because they are really helpful :D And we works at the URL. However we should go through the rater portal before start rating.

Hi,
I'm new to this forum. I have been a rater for a little more than a month now.
Yesterday, I received an Email notification that a new certification process was going on and that I could participate in it.
So I read the guidelines to the new certification and proceeded to complete the tasks needed for the certification (they said there would be 10).
So after completing the 10 tasks, when I log on, I am still only able to acquire these certification tasks AND the same tasks I have already submitted keep coming back to me.
Is everyone experiencing the same? Whenever I click "acquire task", I keep getting the same certification tasks I have already completed. Thanks!

I ended up doing 19. 9 of which were duplicates. worryingly the 2nd time I clicked one of the tasks the LP was different the 2nd time. I think its clearly a common mistake if its happened to both of us and I would imagine this would be bore in mind upon assesment. I've also added the time to my timesheet on the assumption that they will just reject that day if its unnacceptable. I had to do it twice and I dont see why I shouldnt be paid for that, by entering into it I agreed to do ten tasks for no pay. not 19.
I know have no tasks at all which is a bit frustrating,

I ended up releasing quite a few of those "double tasks". I hope this won't be detrimental to my success in that project. on the other hand... I can't exactly complain about a shortage of tasks to begin with.

The same happened to me! after completing the 9th task, the same tasks came back again, so I thought this was because my time was expired and repeated all the process again. Quite annoying About the TS registration I think they were clear about this project not to be paid per task, but as a bonus. Obviously you can do as you want

I think that LB are shooting themselves in the foot by not giving us an official forum. I'm sure that many people here would not even use an outside forum such as this one if we had an official one.
It is extremely difficult to work in an insular fashion for most people. We need feedback from our peers! If I had an official LB forum, I would be happy to sacrifice any social aspect of this forum in favour of a good learning centre.
It seems to me that LB, by ignoring human nature, are forcing us underground and making us resort to communicating in code when it should be unnecessary.
We are all pretty much in the same boat. We WANT to be able to discuss our work in a civilised and sensible manner, but we are constrained by being in public. These public forums are well and good, but it feels like we are hiding behind the dumpsters at work having a sneaky cigarette and gossiping about work when all we want to do is go back inside the building and help each other improve in a collegial atmosphere.
I feel a little violated that by merely posting on a public forum makes me feel like a subversive, when all I want to do is learn from others in the hope that I can do my job better, and hopefully help some others myself if possible.

I agree, an official forum would be great and could be used to improve our work. I still don't think we would be able to discuss everything/specific items there though, without affecting the integrity of the work. Hopefully they'll give us one soon though.

all the bits I deleted from your post are the bits that will get you sacked.no one is going to answer that question I'm afraid. there are some tasks that will not work in IE, only firefox. additionally you won't be able to do your work thoroughly without using the dev plugins.

No conspiracy theory at all, of course competitors know of this and other forums, so they will have and will be gleaning as much info from you all, as is possible. Not only competitors will be watching, but all those other people who have a vested interest in SEO too, from white hat to black hat, they'll all be watching and crawling for the mistakes you make in posting some of the things I've seen recently on here. And I've no doubt some will be 'placed' here deliberately wanting & trying to get some knowledge, after all, anyone can join the forum. My advice is to not talk about THE ACTUAL WORK UNDERTAKEN whatsoever, then there can be no problems.

Sorry if this has already been covered...
Quick question about the new Type 7's - - how do you count the number of tasks? Is each query one task, or is each rating counted as an individual task?
Also...anyone in the USA participate in the referral scheme a couple of months ago? If so, has anyone received payment yet?
Thanks!

Each ratable item counts as a task. Thus you may have more than 1 task while only hitting the submit button once.
