Social bookmarking & networking is truly exploding in popularity as more & more online business owners & promoters realize the amazing potential of social networks & more people join these networks.

I have a question for all those who utilize the power of social networks, what percentage of your online traffic do you directly, indirectly or both from social networks & bookmarks?

MMG receives probably about 3-4% From Social networks. We can and will do better than that though.

I am a full time internet user and i spend atleast 8-9 hours in promoting sites using social networks and bookmarks and i have got great success in it. 20-35% of the totall traffic i get only from social networks and i think its a big achievement for me.

Social bookmarking strategy is one of the natural method of link building. Social bookmarking is different than social media, I think social media is a platform to generate traffic but it is only one source to generate traffic, you could also get into hundreds of other things as well, blogging,ppc,twitter,article marketing,etc

I just recently started using social bookmarking sites to get exposure for my articles. It really has boost up the traffic I get to my site from the articles. I definitely will start promoting my blogs and become more active when it comes to social bookmarking. After submitting a couple of articles I have seen a 100% jump in views within a matter of minutes and that's the truth.

This is a phenomenal way of marketing anything, the possibilities are endless. I've had a lot of success buying and selling nice stuff on Facebook and forums. One thing though, is that you have to be nice to everyone and not just use them once and ignore them the next. Interacting with the people in your network can be time consuming especially if you've got a huge network but it really pays off.

Directly from social bookmarks, according to analytics, about 6 t 8 percent per month those social bookmark sites bring in 6 to 8 percent of the whole traffic per month. not bad at all since we don't really spend that much time doing those link building techniques. social networks, we don't really use them for link build or bringin in traffic, we only have accounts to those social networks so people can have more options to learn more about us and/or contact us.

you know, different Niche can have different effects on social bookmarks. There aren't really that much bookmarking site out there that could give all of the websites the traffic they like. One social bookmark can work for the other and it could not for you. The best thing to do about this is to go to the top ten social bookmarking site, read their TOS, rules and guidelines, step by step procedure and their articles and I'm sure that you'll make the most out of those websites. if you don't do this, you might miss out on the best ways on how you can get what you want with them.

I use Mr Wong/Facebook and Twitter. Posted a single link on most other social bookmarking sites however I don't see any point in pursuing them. MR Wong has a PR of 8 so the links on there help SEO loads. Twitter is good if you get yourself a lot of followers as they Retweet you messages and you can gain loads of links when you've only posted 1. A Facebook page is a good idea but only if you have the time to manage it. You see a lot of company Facebook pages that are so neglected that their walls are covered in spam and new people coming to said sites know immediately its bad.
