http://www.thestreet.com/story/10725070/1/...tml?puc=_tscrss The U.S. dollar was mixed in very narrow range vs. the majors, with the euro rally looking quite tired. http://www.thestreet.com/story/10725070/1/...tml?puc=_tscrss While I’m usually an upbeat and positive person, I’ll warn you that today’s issue is gloomy. Buried in yesterday’s news stories, which were dominated by a possible default by Greece on its debt, was a report from the U.S. Census Bureau on data that most Americans will find depressing. The data are downright scary… According to the Census Bureau, in 2010 the number of Americans living in poverty hit a 52-year high. In fact, 15.1% of the population lives in poverty—46.2 million people. The 2010 median household income in the United States dropped 2.3% to $49,445. About 49.9 million people in America lack health insurance. |
