We had a severe rain storm today (at least for California), with flooding everywhere. dh & his friend were driving down the freeway this morning, when his friends truck hydroplaned and went off the road, rolling twice. They landed up side down. They both walked away from the accident unharmed, however the truck was completely totalled, airbags never even went off. The CHP at the scene told them both they should go buy a lottery ticket meaning this was their lucky day, lol! He told them only 3% of people in accidents like this one walk away unharmed, he said they should've had a broken back or neck from this type of accident.
Unbelievable, I just had to share with you all.
Tonight we are celebrating and THANKING GOD for keeping them safe!
Happy New Year - stay safe

DH? Someone else used that term today for her husband. Is it "Da Husband" or what? I'm missing something here.
Good to know he's okay.
I remember when my car got flipped...you just don't know if you will survive and id you do there could be big time bodily damage. Just like them I walked away unharmed and I DID buy a ticket!
Won $10.
Maybe he'll get lucky.

Ooohhhhh, I just read this! I'm so glad your DH and his friend are okay. Hydroplaning is very scary, it's like the car is possesed or something.
