Well basically for the past year I've been creating sites based on upcoming movies, bands, TV shows, world events (such as 2010 olympics), and video games, and watching them explode with success during their release.

The explosion of traffic lasts around a week or two after release, and I try to maximize them to their peak. After the traffic reaches it's peak, I sell them off for cash.

Is this a good way of making money? I've had some success here and there, but something tells me there are better methods of making money online.

hey morpia. I'm really interested in what you have tried to do. I think it is a very good idea what you have done and should not stop doing it. While you do that however you can also work on a project that lasts a lifetime & generates income as for you while you stay the owner of the website, brand, logo, group... You could try building some kind of site that, delivers interesting content and articles and generates affiliate income at the same time.

Interesting. That sounds like a lucrative business. I can see that you are good in doing the type of business and you are on the right track, so you should continue it. I agree with synbizt though, you should have one or two websites of your own to provide you continuous income streams.

Does this work for you? If yes, then I think it sounds great! If there's a problem, then you should try to fix it.

Otherwise, sounds like a great idea to me. The only thing I can think of is, you are stuck in always having to work to create the inventory to sell. Leighla10 is right. If you have your own Internet real estate, you could create a business that continues to grow and bring income on its own so you can eventually eliminate having to work so hard.

There are a lot of ways of making money online, and
I don't know what's best for you.

You know, some people are successful in affiliate marketing,
some in website flipping, drop shipping, AdSense, etc.

Everyone has his/her own expertise, so what's good for
others may not be good for you, and vice versa.

I just think that there is a little scam, because you sell website which worth will go down soon, so you kinda mislead people. Just my opinion.

This sounds like a rocking Idea. But after the sale are the new web owners left on their own, do you offer continued support? Even if it's at a fee, it just may be a way to make it a better value for your customer, and yourself. I'd love to see your work would you pm me some of them URLs?
