Blogging can be a profitable business but to monetize your blog, you must understand how to incorporate affiliate links into your posts. The first step in affiliate marketing, even before you start any marketing, is to decide the topic or theme of your blog. Maybe you have just been writing about your experiences, or showing pictures of your vacations and other things that you are interested for. To get people coming to your blog, also known as increasing traffic, you must provide important or entertaining information to keep build a loyal audience. To find affiliate programs that will fit with your theme or subject matter. The easiest to use is Google AdSense or look into the Google Affiliate program. Once you have found and been approved for several affiliate programs, start incorporating them into your blog. One place to start is in a helpful link section on the sidebar. Be sure to incorporate a mix of affiliate links, free sites, and informational sites here. Include affiliate links in your posts as text links and another effective way to get your affiliate links noticed is to make a resource list post.

I agree, google adsense is good to integrate, but do not start integrating it before you have atleast 500 visits a day. otherwize it would just turn away visitors! i get 100 visits a day on my blog, none are traffic exchange generator or bot generated, but still adsense would not be a good idea. remember that google adsense requires a $100 minimum to request payout! there are a lot of other good Pay per click agencies like bidvertiser or clicksor... Good adsense alternatives

I think Google doesn't require you to get at least 500 visits a day before placing Adsense ads on your website/blog, so why limit yourself? I have a website with less than 100 unique visits a day on which I place Adsense ads, and I have no issue maintaining its traffic.

No, but honestly, maintaining traffic will not be a problem, but keep in mind that advertisements ALWAYS turn away visitors. so keep it to a minimum.
I just think that, putting google ads on your site is not worth it when you have a small stream of daily traffic. but thats my opinion:)

You maybe right, Synbitz. My friend has a blog on where he put three Adsense ad units. The blog gets not so much traffic as he seems not to promote the blog seriously. He has been running the blog for two years and he has never reached the minimum payout of the Adsense program. But personally I don't mind to see Adsense ads when visiting a website, provided that they are laid out properly.

2 years is very long... I reached pay out limit in 3 months
