I have to make an official complaint against MMG because it has become so addictive lately that I am failing to do my daily chores.

MMG owners and mods, please try to seed off the most interesting threads from the board.

Leave only those which don't seem to interest anyone.

Don't let us babble what ever we like.

Straighten us immediately that this board is only for seriuos business conversations and not for fun at all!

For example today, I have been sitting here all morning and I should be cleaning my house because I'm expecting visitors in the afternoon. I go to the kitchen to do something but before I notice anything, I'm sitting here and pressing f5 to see what's going on here.

I hope you take my complaint seriuously and begin taking measures to correctify the situation.

I have to agree it's addictive.

It's like chocolate - I start a bar of chocolate and say to myself "I'm only going to eat half the bar". I eat half the bar....and then I eat the other half.

MMG is just the same. I wake up in the morning, do my clicking and surfing then open MMG just to look at a few threads....12DP with its 20 pages to catch up every day, then to ST, get depressed, need to get into a better mood so go to the Humor and General Chat. Meanwhile the dishes are piling up and other chores are crying out to be done.....but then I click View new posts several times and just keep reading a few more pages.

It's so hard to stop - even if there were a power cut, I would still have a couple of hours from the laptop battery.

Maybe we should be limited to making no more than 3 posts a day, haha, then we would have to use our posts wisely and would not have so much to read.

I think my New Year's resolution will have to be : Exercise more self-control in the amount of MMG that I read. But then I've always broken my previous resolutions.

When I joined a while ago, I could see the dangers of the MMG addiction coming on me. I vowed to never spend more than an hour online here....however now,
I cnnot go by the computer without checking what is going on in MMG....
I cant be online working for very long without having to check MMG...
I cant go to bed without checking MMG....
I cant go to work until I have checked MMG....
I cant eeat breakfast until I have checked MMG....

That is funny. I had a house full of people during Thanksgiving...and every hour I snuck away to check MMG....same with x-mas...family gatherings and am planning on New Years eve sneaking away...WE ARE ALL SICK.....what can we do!?!?!
