Since Christmas day, it's taking a long time to load up MMG and the same thing happens with every page. Firefox 1.5 can't seem to load up Google at all. Anyone having similar problem? Anyone know what is happening? Thanks for any help you can give. post-36326-1110185726.gif

Well, I don't know if it relates to your problem, but I'm currently using xp and when I upgraded to SP2 I couldn't load mmg at all. Kept timing out and it seemed to only be this site, never figured out why. Thought it might've been their retarded built-in firewall, so I disabled it, but the problem persisted. I finally had to revert back to xp SP1 and it works fine now. Go figure blink.gif

I have Firefox 1.7 but problem persists.

This is what I get when trying to access Google:

The connection has timed out
The server at www.google.com is taking too long to respond.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Haven't had any issues like that.
I always hate to suggest this but have you tried reinstalling?

Yep that's exactly the message I got, but I have no idea if it relates to your situation, since you haven't given much detail on what OS your using, if you recently upgraded or added software, etc. Does it just happen with google and mmg? If you're using a firewall, it could be you have to tweak the settings. Hard to say.

Evey other site moves at superfast speed. Only problem Google and MMG. Sorry but am computer idiot so have no idea what OS means. However had no problem Dec 24. Problem started Dec 25.
TheMobileHookup
OS = Operating system. But I doubt that's the problem. I'm on XP with SP2 and no problems.

Did you check the computer section? There are a few posts about Firefox. Just don't use that Fasterfox one, doesn't work well.
angelboy
Thank you, will look there to see if I can do anything. smile.gif

No problem with me.. I'm using FireFox 1.5

Is that problem happens only when you load MMG and Google? or your whole internet connection slowing down?

Maybe you run a particular program that cause the problem? Like BitTorrent or Emule?
UNC
Are you on a wireless network? If so maybe the signal strength is weak. That always causes MMG and Google to load slow for me as well, but when the connection is fine they work fine clapping7.gif

May be it is because of Windows XP internal firewall setting from your Service pack 2 box?
angelboy
Whatever it was, it's fine now. Thanks! smile.gif

Okay, now I'm experiencing alot of timeout issues trying to contact to mmg. It happens when I use firefox, ie, or my aolbrowser. There's no rhyme or reason, and I've gone through just about every solution, emptying cache and cookies, firewall tweaking, even reinstalling firefox. It can happen during any part of the day or night at any time, and can last for hours, then after awhile I can magically connect again. I'm currently on aol dialup. Anyone else hopefully experiencing this issue once in awhile? sad.gif

Guess I'm the only one... oh well unsure.gif
ASFx
Dial up? That's probably why tongue4.gif I havent had any problems except last night during the scheduled maintenance.
UNC
And AOL ontop of dialup never a good combination ..
davidscript
Thnx, guys, I figured it might have something to do with dialup or aol, or a combo of both.
cake again
MMG goes down occasionally with me as well. I've got Broadband and use Firefox. When it stops I try IE but it's usually down there as well.

I just restart the laptop and it comes back immediately. smile.gif
