Well, i was looking many forums and discussions board around the web and i see that the payment proofs of some guys are really very high (9000 - 20.000). I think that many people join a program when they see the "proof". I edited a payment proof (a donation proof to tell the truth) of my account. A very kindly guy donated me a 1.00 USD in e-gold, but with some skills (a kid can do this, believe me) on a image editor i transformed this ammount in 952.00 USD.
See below:
THE REAL PROOF:
THE FAKE:
I removed the name of the donator, his account and the batch (privacy reasons). What you guys think? Save the image in your PC and try to find a evidence, i bet that you can't do this.
So after you see this i hope you be more cautious with these proofs, anyone can fake them.

2Peretz&all just do not trust only SS of payment. there're lot's of proofs, but no one is perfect and 100% reliable. As for me I trust only if see few proofs not 1.

Thanks for the info.
Maybe it would be less suspicious if 100s of people show their own screen captures.

thx for waring
wouldnt spot it if you post somewhere and tell me u got paid by a program, but since you specially pointed out here, i tried to work out the amount from the weight of gold and gold rate and i found a mistake.
0.001972 * 507 = $1 ( rounded up from 0.9998) 1.877344 * 507 = $951.81 ( rounded up from 951.8134)

This is why you don't trust someone who is brand new and posting about payment. Some may be real but some of the scammers are getting a bit more sophisticated.
You usually see these fakes in the $1 and $2 doublers which people shouldn't be getting in anyway.

Pick a value of your e-gold account and you will see that every value are with this weight error. This mistake are from the e-gold service, not from me. Calculate any value of your account and you will see that i am right (the first picture is a true payment, i not edit any value in the first). I only multiplied the 0.001972 by 952.

I honestly don't know why people are still basing the legitimacy of a program in the fact that they pay or not anyway. Lets face it folks, scams pay at first. Some of the "best" scams on here were paying members for weeks, even months, before they shut down and ran.

Agreed. Yes I join programs when theres payment proof but no if there is only one. I need more than 1 or a few to convince me that the program has the green light.

I agree so much with you. And as well as what if a legitimate buisness that has been around for years and is trusted say gets hacked, goes bankrupt or any other means and you lose your money in it. Anything can happen thats what makes this so fun

Good idea. Bottom line is, if you want to take a chance with a scam, and your stragety is to get your initial invesment in and out as quickly as possible, then obviously the paying aspect is very important.
However, if you don't want to be in a scam, period, do not rely on whether theyare paying! There are other ways to gauge a program's legitimacy.

And what sucks is when honest people try to show proof but people don't think its real because of past scammers and/or fake proof. It really does ruin it for everybody

I never really thought much about people faking their payment proofs. If I see more than a few then I'm more likely to know they are paying and paying consistently.
