Anyone have any expierence with Tunnelers like MetroPipe?
After yesterdays fiasco I want more security. My IP was obtained by the hacker yesterday was used last night to spam out millions of emails. I recieved a letter from Road Runner about this and after long converstions they are now trying to track this guy down.
I changed my IP and also installed a new router and have my software firewall on the highest settings. I found 3 trojans that made it past the Antivirus. Be very careful out there and never take too many precautions.

After the near fiasco that happened to me yesterday, I went ahead and signed up for metropipe. I'm really impressed with how fast the browsing is. I didn't expect it to be nearly as fast.
with all that's happening now, i think i'll give this secure-tunnel thing a shot... you can never be too careful....

I never leave home without it I also use http://www.secure-tunnel.com/ on my other PC
secure-tunnel doesn't really protect your privacy as secure-tunnel themselves logs your activities and also requires real signup identification and mainstream style payment, not anonymous signup and through a processor like e-gold. It will protect you online from evil sites with ad/mal/spyware and rogue admins, but they still have a record of everywhere you are going as well the ability to log everything you are doing. Too much info to trust with them and too easy for the govt to get it. NUK

Their website pretty well covers everything about MP. It's a service basically that you use. On your end, you install software and configure your browser to use Metro's proxy server. The nice part is your conection to their proxy is encrypted so you are private going to their proxy. Then you are surfing or whatever through their proxy and their proxy's IP address. Metro's servers are offshore and they are serious about privacy and anonymity. You can pay by egold anonymously and pretty much not have to worry about your privacy any more and in some cases, it speeds up your browsing even., especially if you are a European user because that's where their servers are. NO they will not, and they can not :-)
They are not keeping logs, as without logs they have no information to give out.
As NUK says, Metropipe are SERIOUS about their business, which is to help people with PRIVACY and ANONYMITY.
MetroPipe rocks!

I do not need their full service right now, I'm good boy, helping neighbors, praying before meal - not mention about those 12 little girls in my basement... and 20 pound of heroin in my frig ...LOL

I use Findnot, they have SHH tunnel and socks proxy service. But many of findnot's IP addresses is on blacklists.
I will try Metropipe too if my subscription ends.
